Please recommend me a drinks bottle that keeps water chilled

I need this for work. Workplace is really hot and I'm getting hot flushes, not a great mix!!
I find a chilled drink of diluted juice really helps but my drinks bottle ends up at room temperature by the afternoon and I want something that keeps it chilled for all day, like at least 6 hours.
I know chilly bottles are popular but at 20 odd quid I don't want to spend that if I can.

Has anyone any recommendations, thanks.

If you go to Decathlon or other sports / camping shops you’ll find similar bottles. But also - if you’re religious about filling your Chilly bottle before going out it’ll repay itself within a month or two

Home bargains do a stainless steel one for 4. 99 that looks identical. Has a peel off label that says spear and Jackson.

I got a knock-off chilly style bottle from Aldi some time ago, it keeps cold drinks so lovely and cold!

I have a 750ml chillys bottle. Well worth the money IMO. I've put chilled water in it, left it in a roasting hot car all day, and it's still chilled 8 hours later. The cheaper alternatives we've bought haven't performed anywhere near as well

To be honest the Chilly’s are well worth their money. I bought each of us one. We have filled them on holiday before going out for the day and in 40 degree heat the drinks are still cold in the afternoon.

Chilly is amazing BUT I hate that the lid isn't attached to the bottle (I have small hands and drinking while on the tube etc is a nighmare)
Found an awesome 2 pack in Costco with lids on a flexible hinge and they are AMAZING.

Well worth the money

Mustbetimeforachange · 28/06/2020 10:57

Everywhere does Chilly copies now. We got ours from Amazon a couple of years ago (rather not spend £20 in case teenagers lose them). All the supermarkets do them, all the sports shops etc.

Sho bottles are great, we have several and they last well and keep things really cold (or hot)

I just freeze the water an a normal plastic bottle. It stays colder than the insulated bottles I have tried.

ssd · 28/06/2020 11:49

I'm wondering if I should splash out and get a chillys. I don't want to buy a cheaper version and be disappointed. I'm not a Costco member but that one sounds perfect as above.
I used to take in a plastic bottle with frozen water but it takes a while to defrost so I can get a sip!

I've got a metal one from Sainsbury's that does that job brilliantly.

ssd · 28/06/2020 11:50

It's icy cold I want, a bit colder than chilled.

Sho has a keyworker discount if that helps. I think it was 50%.

ExpletiveDelighted · 28/06/2020 11:55

I've got a Sistema metal one which is brilliant. I put ice cubes and water in it one evening this week, drank the water fairly quickly and left it on the counter with the ice cubes in overnight, they were still there at lunchtime the next day when I picked it up again.

DefConOne · 28/06/2020 12:00

I got a lovely metal one from the Range for £7. Works just as well as Chillis.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 28/06/2020 12:01

No way would I spend chilly bottle prices. And I have to keep whole milk cold for medical purposes even on a hot day.

Thermos vacuum bottle is the best. Amazon cheap versions of chilly bottles are all good.

But actually any standard vacuum flask you'd usually use to keep stuff warm will work best of all. Again thermos cant be beat

Bluewavescrashing · 28/06/2020 12:01

Chilly ones are fab and so pretty! The water is ice cold at the end of the day.

Thanks, that would be great.

Can I've cubes fit in the chillys bottle?

OP posts:
ssd · 28/06/2020 12:47

I've just seen chillys do their own ice cube tray to fit in their bottles, I'll just look in b&m

Yeti bottles are expensive but amazing. They're wide necked so you can put ice cubes in them. They will keep your drink icy cold even when the bottle is sat on concrete in full sun when the temperature is in the mid thirties.

ArbitraryNameChange · 28/06/2020 12:48

Chillys are worth every penny. I'm so evangelical about them I've bought them as Christmas and birthday presents
