Your 8 year old asks for baked Camembert for lunch

Bonkerz · 03/06/2020 20:18

You have a 19 year old who loves 90s clubland and clubbing with his mum and her friends including a weekend away (his mates came too)

Windyatthebeach · 03/06/2020 20:26

Your teens score full marks on a film quiz about a specific film you relented to watching over and bloody over again....

Chillipeanuts · 03/06/2020 20:29

Your teenaged son chooses to write about you after illness as his inspirational woman. And you don’t find out until his teacher tells you 😭

TwistyHair · 03/06/2020 20:29

Your four year old knows more of the names of the plants in the garden than his dad. He said to me in shock ‘dad didn’t know what Bleeding Heart was!’

Chillipeanuts · 03/06/2020 20:30

Oh god reading that back, it sounds so big headed. Sorry.
Broke my heart though, in a very good way.

BrieAndChilli · 03/06/2020 20:30

Your 12 year old cooks dinner all by herself!
And your 13 year old teaches your 9 year old his 7 times table better than you can!

ikeairgin · 03/06/2020 20:33

You spend lockdown with 19 year old and 17 year old boys and you enjoy their company. We all enjoy listening to music and the 17 year old will cycle and drop groceries off for you to his Nan and the 19 year old starts chipping in to the household after getting a job. It's been lovely spending time with them.

It doesn't sound big headed. It sounds beautiful and he (and you) sounds like an amazing person.
BendingSpoons · 03/06/2020 20:35

Your 2yo lisps that her favourite band is AC-DC. Followed. By George Ezra!

Taswama · 03/06/2020 20:37

Your 12 year old asks about characters in the Archers!

Chillipeanuts · 03/06/2020 20:40

Thank you 😊 Yes, I think he is and I’m blubbing again now 3 years on 😁

Letsgomaths · 04/06/2020 06:39

The children are competitive about winning a game of sleeping lions, or the version occasionally played when I was growing up: who can sit blindfolded and in silence the longest. Smile I didn’t realise the purpose of this game was so the adults could have quiet!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 04/06/2020 06:59

Your 6yo sings along to and actively chooses to listen to Queen! Grin

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 04/06/2020 07:05

Your youngish (they both learned around 6/7) children can make various drinks, include cups of tea and mojitos, on request. (Although tbe mojitos are virgin, we don't let them near the rum!).

They bring you breakfast in bed (simple things like toast and scrambled eggs made in the microwave)

And for my just 7yo... She insists she has to take a bag and gloves on walks in case she sees litter.

ThisTooShallPassHopefully · 04/06/2020 07:10

My 17yr old dd keeps going on about signing us up to gogglebox because she thinks people will find us and our tv watching chatter hilarious.

A few weeks into lockdown we were talking about things we miss and would like to do as soon as we can. She told me she missed all the time we spend in the car going to and from after school clubs, and the talks we have. When I suggested we could just sit in the car and chat, she grabbed the car keys and shouted "meet you out there" as she walked out the front door.

Wronglettertotimothy · 04/06/2020 07:18

This is so lovely 💖

SpringSpringTime · 04/06/2020 07:21

My toddler can recognise garden plants and common birds! It’s brilliant I love it so much. We need to up our music game though.

AtiaoftheJulii · 04/06/2020 07:23

Finding out they'd all (4 of them, aged 17-23) donated to either Black Lives Matter causes or corona relief funds recently.

MilaRos · 04/06/2020 09:50

When my 5 year old Ds tells me he loves me so much, he doesn't want me to go extinct 😂

LoisLittsLover · 04/06/2020 09:53

Dd5vss favourite bands are the beatles, Queen and Abba. Also, DH had a late night conference call last night. He went up to his office and she left him her blanket and pillow in case he felt tired while working

Deathraystare · 04/06/2020 13:34

These are all so lovely!

I am imagining Mr Loislittslover snoozing during a conference call!

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 04/06/2020 13:40

When your children shout ‘comb-oine ‘arvester’ in full Wurzel accent every time they see a combine harvester. Mine are teens now....
