I'll start:
The food at IKEA. Especially the over hyped meatballs!
Cheap crap!

There are some heathens on here... And also some very astute people who have very good taste - the same as me.

Squeakymarymouse · 03/06/2020 05:44

Ant and Dec. Avocados. Alcohol. Perhaps I just don't like anything beginning with A?

Pandora- don’t get the hype. Just buy real jewellery.

Greenpop21 · 03/06/2020 07:02

Fake nails. They just look so chavvy. Ditto obvs fake orange tan, massive lashes, slug eyebrows, inches of foundation.

Missillusioned · 03/06/2020 07:17

The seaside. Either freezing cold or too hot with no shade. Usually overcrowded in good weather. Sand gets everywhere and I'm scared of the sea.

😂😂😂This thread is cracking me up. Now stop dissing Jane Austen.

pollymere · 03/06/2020 09:58

Empire State Building. You queue for ages Disney style, you don't get the chance to admire the beautiful interior and then you're squashed outside to look at a not very interesting view. As it was so crowded, I was given the opportunity to use the stairs (only a few flights!) Apparently this isn't usually the case so you get to queue and see inside some lifts.

pollymere · 03/06/2020 10:00

@ukholidaysaregreat I did an MA Lit just so I COULD say I'm not impressed by Austen or Lawrence. I prefer Burney.

Devaki · 03/06/2020 10:02

Mrs Hinch and her tedious books

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 03/06/2020 10:07

Socialising. Actually, people, generally.

Toddlerteaplease · 03/06/2020 10:09

Omg, Ikea food and biscoff spread is food of the gods!

Mrsjayy · 03/06/2020 10:13

Flea bag I hated it

ScrimpshawTheSecond · 03/06/2020 10:20

Sunshine. Makes me feel guilty for sitting indoors. And it's too bright.

Davespecifico · 03/06/2020 10:23

Emma Barnett - not everything about her, she clearly does her research. But I cringe at the attacking style she employs no matter who she’s interviewing or what the interview is about.
Glad some other people dislike Fleabag. I thought I was the only one.

Blurpblorp · 03/06/2020 10:25

Getting food from Borough Market. However nice the food, I don't want to eat on a dirty kerbside or standing up in a horribly crowded space.

Any kind of televised talent competition.

Some modern art.

DXBMermaid · 03/06/2020 10:28

  • Hen dos. Always so expensive and putting a bunch of women together with alcohol is always going to cause bitchiness and drama.
  • Marriage. It's not some fairy tale, despite what Disney says.
  • Baby showers. Seems materialistic to invite people to a gathering with a presumption that they'll bring a gift. I know a number of women who have outwardly admitted this is the only reason they had one. 😳
  • Asking guests for money as a wedding gift. I find it so naff. I was even invited to a wedding by a couple who are both wealthy bankers and they did this. So wrong! I still begrudge contributing now, as I earn a pittance in comparison.
  • Dogs. They smell out your home, lick you and shed hair everywhere.
  • Making sourdough bread. I'm doing this at the moment and it's already taken almost two weeks to get a starter going. What a timely faff.
  • Festivals
  • Camping
  • Having children
  • Makeup. You're covering up imperfections on your skin, whilst making your skin worse with all the chemicals they contain. 🤔
  • Hot weather.
  • Christmas. A marketer's dream.
  • Yoga.

Black velvet - Guinness and champagne.

Ruined good champagne when I tried it

ScotchBonnits · 03/06/2020 11:08

Also, cocktails.

Unless you spend a fortune, it's often watered down with loads of ice. A sugary, sticky mess.
