It wasn’t wind... it was a baby!

So here’s part 2 (which is crazy to me)

There isn’t really an update as such I should hear today or tomorrow regarding a scan. I’ve got the MW again on Thursday and I suppose this week will be the week of grand reveals.

I’m sorry if I disappear for a day at a time I’m still trying to wrap my own head around this.

OP posts:

@Hanamuslim OP hasn't had sex since November and the midwife thought she could be around 31 weeks!

summerfruitssquash · 02/06/2020 18:44

Congratulations, OP! What a shock but a lovely one ☺️

Icepinkeskimo · 02/06/2020 18:45

OP, just wanted to offer some support, there's been some lovely comments about the little surprise! I think we are all a bit fragile at the moment so this baby news has touched a lot of peoples hearts. This baby is going to have around 2000 aunties at this rate Smile

I just wanted to say something about privacy, and that is to perhaps take your time with regards to telling people and do it when you feel ready, and don't rush it if your not ready. It's your baby and enjoy this time of keeping things private and peaceful. As soon as you tell family and friends, things will change. for. There's a lot to be said for keeping things private, peace and quiet for starters! Enjoy your peaceful sunny days and you don't have to run to a timetable.

Ohh and it is beautiful news,

MrsGrindah · 02/06/2020 18:48

Is anyone else still half expecting someone to come on here and say it’s probably just wind?!

em90792 · 02/06/2020 18:48

Wowsers! What a rollercoaster.
Huge congratulations!! Hope all goes well with your talks and scan 🤞

ExShield · 02/06/2020 18:50

Checking in! What if it’s twins?!

momtoboys · 02/06/2020 18:53

Wow! Kind of exciting?

SummerDayWinterEvenings · 02/06/2020 18:54

I worked with a lady a number of years ago who got a large bump quickly and none of us were suprised at the news she was pregnant with twins and they ran in her family. A number of issues -one of the twins had an 'irregular' heartbeat -lots and lots of scans and medical support. Then with a number of weeks to go before due date -worried about one of the twin's heartbeat she had a c section to find not one, not two but three babies -hence the irregular heartbeat. All fine and healthy. Good luck OP.

Blackbear19 · 02/06/2020 18:55

I'd think the MW would have known if it was twins, especially so far on and she heard the single heart beat.

DontStandSoClose · 02/06/2020 18:59

I was surprised reading your updates on the previous thread so goodness knows how you felt! Congratulations, I hope everything goes well sharing your news when you feel ready to tell people Smile

Strawberrycreamsundae · 02/06/2020 18:59

I met a nurse who’d had several bouts of renal colic. She had been scanned and had hospital admissions for pain relief. The consultant booked her for lithotripsy but she had another attack - delivering a 8lb+ baby boy! She had periods throughout, the coil in situ and no symptoms whatsoever. Her mum was so delighted!

Oldbutkicking · 02/06/2020 18:59

We are all here supporting you and many of us have followed your posts with bated breath. When I had a surprise pregnancy (negative test) I’d have loved a community of other mums rooting for me.

Areyoukiddingme99 · 02/06/2020 18:59

Good luck and congratulations ❤️

SandwhichGenerationGal · 02/06/2020 19:00

Am I the only one totally over invested in this thread and very excited for the next instalment? 😂

sugarrosepetal · 02/06/2020 19:00

Star Congratulations xxx

dobbyssoc · 02/06/2020 19:02

I'm surprised you haven't had a scan yet OP. I'd be complaining to your local hospital as most women even during covid would get a scan the same week if not the same day they found out! You should contact your hospital ASAP

PunishmentSnart · 02/06/2020 19:03

@SandwhichGenerationGal

Nope - I’ve picked baby names and asked can I be Godmother and everything Grin
It’s the nicest news I’ve heard in ages and it’s making me go all gooey inside

Bienentrinkwasser · 02/06/2020 19:04

Goodness me, next Wednesday?! That seems cruel! I’m a community midwife and would have give to the scan department and begged them to find you something sooner if you were my patient!

Lisette1940 · 02/06/2020 19:05

Good luck OP Flowers

Chig · 02/06/2020 19:06

Congratulations

honeylou42 · 02/06/2020 19:06

Congratulations 🥳💐

Muchtoomuchtodo · 02/06/2020 19:06

Blimey op!
I tried posting straight after you’d posted your first thread saying it sounded like a hernia and to be careful but it wouldn’t post for some reason!
I hadn’t given it a second thought until I came across your second thread!
Congratulations! Hope the conversations with your ds, mum and FEB go well and you get the scan appt through soon.

HettyStThomas · 02/06/2020 19:08

Good luck OP

ScrapThatThen · 02/06/2020 19:08

Don't be scared, you can do this. It's a huge adjustment and it will be hard but you will be ok. People will wrap their heads around it in the end. Just be you.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 02/06/2020 19:09

I honestly don’t think I could wait a week! Are you going to book a private scan?
