Ingredients
240g/2cups plain flour
100g/ 0.5 cup sugar
4 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp salt
330ml/ 1.3 cup milk
120g/Generous 0.5 cup peanut butter
180g/1 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

Method
Preheat oven to 160c/325f/gas mark 3
Mix together dry ingredients.
Mix in the milk, then the peanut butter. Stir chocolate through. Scrape into greased loaf pan and bake for about 1 hour.

Best eaten warm and with coffee. Otherwise if you were extra generous with the PB might feel all a bit dry.
Warm or cold, out jam on it 😋

P.s. use the chocolate chips!

@LunaNorth

Mine’s just come out of the oven. It smells divine, but I need gf so I won’t be having any. I made it for vegan DS 😇
@LunaNorth did he like it?

Would warning the milk and peanut butter in a pan help with combining the two? Planning to try this one later.

LunaNorth · 01/06/2020 08:23

@00100001 he loved it! Thank you for the recipe, I think I’ll be making it a lot.

@00100001 Why would you post this? Why? WHY? I've just lost a stone and here you are messing it up and I do not appreciate it at all. So now I have to make this bread which I am going to eat in spectacularly large amounts. Thanks OP, thanks for nothing!

Megatron · 01/06/2020 08:24

My DD is going to LOVE this.

Probably, but you can warm PB on it's own easily enough in a pan :)

Has anyone done the cheese and bacon slow cooker bread? I tried it with cheese, peppers and olives and it was very tasty but slightly doughy. Wonder if I should have cooked it longer.

Ooooooh.

Looks similar to the savoury muffin loaf I make, with cheese, peppers, red onion and spinach flour etc. It's rather too good.

Can you put the recipe/link up?

Half teaspoon salt
Chuck in cooked bacon, cheese, olives, pepper, corn or whatever takes your fancy, mix to a dough and put in a lined slow cooker on high for 2 hours sprinkle top with cheese and cook under the grill until the top browns.

@001 what kind of sugar are you using?

bluefoxmug · 02/06/2020 20:19

we tried it with raisins instead of chocolate.
was nice, but not peanutty enough

00100001 · 03/06/2020 02:01

We're you very generous with your 1/2 cup of PB?

OP posts:
bluefoxmug · 03/06/2020 06:24

used slightly more than 120g, maybe 150.
might try it with banana instead of chocolate next

bluefoxmug · 03/06/2020 06:25

or actual chocolate, maybe rainsins are just too strong a flavour

00100001 · 03/06/2020 09:40

I might try banana today
