what would you buy?

Good friend’s birthday coming up, and I want to get her something she’d really like rather than the normal chocolates/flowers/candles. What would you love if it was you?

A cheese stall from the local market is now doing deliveries so I’d love a selection of my favourites to work my way through with crackers, chutneys and fruit.

aibutohavethisusername · 25/05/2020 16:25

I’d love some Lush goodies

Cheeseycheeseycheesecheese · 25/05/2020 16:29

A pamper kit of some form, facemask, bath stuff etc, bottle of wine and a new book

BestOption · 25/05/2020 16:32

I know you said 'not flowers' & but right now I'd love someone to send me 🌷 but I don't have a garden and I'm not going out much.

Personally I'd live to get

Books
Stationery
Throws
Beautiful flat summer sheet

I'll be back...

Ooh yeah, a nice foodie gift would be amazing right now. www.yumbles.com do some great ones, and cater for pretty much everybody. (not affiliated with them in any way, but it's a great one stop shop for foodie things)

PurpleFrames · 25/05/2020 16:40

Letterbox flower subscription
Loccitane goodies
Neals Yard facial set
Paint pens to do something creative

ChangeThePassword · 25/05/2020 16:43

What sort of things does she enjoy? We are kind of stabbing in the dark a little.

aibutohavethisusername · 25/05/2020 16:43

Ooh cheese. A local cheese & beer shop near me has started delivering. That’s a good idea.

Ponoka7 · 25/05/2020 16:43

I'd like,
Cuticle cream and nail varnish.
Ordinary skin care,
Rose bush (or two).
Voucher for M&S, I'd spend it on their £10 steaks and cheesecake.

tmh88 · 25/05/2020 16:45

It’s just been my birthday and my sister got me a load of stuff we would play together as children but a bit more grown up Blush
-adult colouring book
-nice pens
-top trumps (probably my best gift forgot how fun it was Blush)
-bath beads
-crystal growing kit
-face masks
-nail polish (o.p.i)
-make up (mac not like a pink plastic love heart set Grin )

BlueBooby · 25/05/2020 16:45

I think I'd like to treat myself to a really good shampoo/conditioning hair treatment type thing. Something that would help sort out my really dry, shit hair, but that I wouldn't be able to justify buying for myself. Also during the lockdown I've been using a Neal's yard bubble bath that I had in the cupboard, it was an old Christmas or birthday present I'd never opened and it's actually really nice. It made me want to try more Neals yard stuff.

TroysMammy · 25/05/2020 16:46

A voucher for The Range. My massive pathetic craft stash needs new things.

tmh88 · 25/05/2020 16:46

Pressed post too soon! How long have you been friends? Can you get some things you both liked when you was younger? I really loved that gift

Kittykatmacbill · 25/05/2020 17:03

Random running stuff normally I’d say a race entry.

Some sort of drfrizzing hair treatment as my hair has gone nuts in lockdown.

mysteryfairy · 25/05/2020 17:03

I bought this for £33 on Amazon. Made an amazing (but small) tiramisu and this is in readiness for when I can make it for my family - maybe later summer, maybe Xmas - but bought now for better times

dessert comport

MrsRogerLima · 25/05/2020 17:08

A tropic skincare discovery kit and a tropic haircare discovery kit.

Mind you, perhaps on second thought that might be something you buy for someone you dislike considering it's likely to bankrupt them afterwards 😂

GottenGottenGotten · 25/05/2020 17:17

Spot the person that sells Tropic Skincare Wink

Norma27 · 25/05/2020 17:21

Ha ha @gottengottengotten
Those were my thoughts too!

winterisstillcoming · 25/05/2020 17:28

stairgates · 25/05/2020 17:32

Or some very nice, good quality socks.

bumblebeefairy · 25/05/2020 18:02

A nice bottle of craft gin.

Ratbagcatbag · 25/05/2020 18:06

I'd love some nice flowers, a candle that I particularly like.
A nice food treat delivered. Somewhere local to me is delivery afternoon tea.
A very lovely set of slate coasters or a new set of mugs.
