Eat with spoon.

Bearlyclearly · 22/05/2020 22:16

Make this cherry ripe cake. I made it this week and it’s so good.

Have an iced coffee tomorrow. I wish I had some condensed milk now 😐
Google Vietnamese iced coffee for a recipe. 😋

Find a microwave fudge recipe on nestle, do maths, make quarter of recipe (a can is 397ml so 100g is near enough a quarter). Such a small amount- no need to share!

Millionairs short bread.

drumandthebass · 22/05/2020 22:33

use it in ice cream

SpaceCadet4000 · 22/05/2020 22:37

I came here to say just get a spoon, and I'm delighted to see other Mumsnetters approach condensed milk in the same way! I think I'll add a can to my weekly shop. DH judges me so hard when I do this, but I reckon he'll let me get away with it if I make us Vietnamese coffees...

It’s lovely on top of porridge.

Or mix it with some stewed rhubarb - makes a delicious fool.

Honeybee85 · 22/05/2020 23:01

Pour it over strawberries, yummy

Twooter · 22/05/2020 23:03

Lovely as a sauce on vanilla ice cream

drspouse · 22/05/2020 23:10

I really wish I had some or could find it, now!

Justgivemewine · 22/05/2020 23:12

I make a delicious bonfire toffee with this. Alternatively just get a teaspoon and eat it from the can. Sickly but oh so mmmmmm...........

sawyersfishbiscuits · 22/05/2020 23:15

Mix with cream and vanilla extract, then add something yummy like bashed up Maltesers and freeze. Easy ice cream!

justdontatme · 22/05/2020 23:15

Give it to me! DH claimed he couldn’t find any at the shops & I needed some for a recipe.

Smidge001 · 22/05/2020 23:17

Another vote for eat it with a spoon! It's yummy. If you think that's too decadant then it's great poured on top of a bowl of cereal, or as a (sweet obviously!) sandwich filling, or on toast. Think of it as a jam or honey alternative.

Or just get a spoon!

Wombatstew · 22/05/2020 23:19

You can freeze leftover condensed milk

Justgivemewine · 22/05/2020 23:21

sawyersfishbiscuits I drooling just at the thought.

Ipadipod · 22/05/2020 23:22

Whisk some double cream , add to the condensed milk , mix in crushed strawberries or other berries then freeze- easy ice cream .

Ipadipod · 22/05/2020 23:23

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 22/05/2020 23:36

I get the squeeze bottles, they're good in the fridge for 3 weeks.

StumblingOffTheRocks · 22/05/2020 23:48

Porridge!
That’s an excellent idea. And no effort. I have berries too. Breakfast sorted Smile

Omg DONT throw it away. You can make really nice cookies with it or make caramel with butter, brown sugar and condensed milk ....and it keeps for ages or can be frozen.

mermaidbutmytailfelloff · 23/05/2020 00:10

Pour on chocolate digestives.....

SinisterBumFacedCat · 23/05/2020 00:13

Coconut ice!

TildaKauskumholm · 23/05/2020 08:12

I use 1/3 of a can in flapjacks and freeze the rest for the next 2 batches.
