Please tell me what this card game is. It’s driving me crazy!

Ok. It has lots of rounds. A bit like whist but not whist. I vaguely remember it builds up to some sort of peak round then back down again but I may be mistaken. There was about 12 rounds each with a different goal. We played it at university and I cannot got the life of me remember what it was called. Any ideas?

If it's the same one I'm thinking of it is a brilliant game but can't remember what it's called.

It was a points scoring game and whoever had the lowest points at the end was the winner.

It went something like this..

Round 1: deal all cards out and you had to get rid of all the tricks, so the lower the cards you had the better.
Round 2: You had to win as many tricks so the higher the cards you had the better.
Round 3: I think may have been queens? where you had to try and win all the queens.
Round 4: we used to call 'Big Richard' or 'Big Dick' which meant whoever won the trick with the king of hearts, they lost (or he had the most points)

A few more rounds that I can't remember and then you all took in turns to have a round each where you can choose the trump suit judging by what kind of hand you had and tried to get as many tricks as possible.

Kuluki? Sounds very similar op but two packs of cards 7 cards each dealer gets 8....sets like rummy but to lay first must be four cards.... Sets like rummy and runs (same suits) in order, aim to get your whole hand down... whilst there is always a pile in the middle from left over cards that haven't been dealt you have to take a card each time and lay one back in middle pile and so on for each player?...

@insomniasucks, yes, that all sounds very familiar. I think that’s it! Wish one of us remembered what it was called!

We played one similar called solitaire.

I'm not sure of the spelling but we called it curkey?
