Are you a side sleeper and comfortable with your pillow situation?

If so please tell me about your pillow set up, or any pillow recommendations. My shoulders and neck are so stiff, I don’t think mine is working well.

I sleep on my side and cuddle my pillow at the same time. I must have something pillow shaped to cuddle so one of those big hard pillows have never worked well.

Please help!

V shaped, topped with a soft pillow. Then between mt lower legs a flat pillow!

Brilliant thread, thanks OP! I'm in the same boat as you.

I'm the same, biggest breakthrough for me was not having a pillow for my head. I now just have a plump feather and down pillow to cuddle and it comes up to my chin so supports my neck, but doesn't go under my head - sometimes it ends up under my elbow. So much more comfortable than having a pillow for my head.

The best night ever was when I slept with 7 different shaped pillows, and a bolster to hug!

One John Lewis soft synthetic fibre pillow.

I slept with 2 pillows (one firm, one soft) for as long as I can remember. A few months ago I ditched the soft pillow and went for 1 fairly firm pillow only. It took a few days to get used to it, but my neck and shoulder pain has gone completely.

I sleep on my side but have super sensitive ears that really hurt if I lie on them. I have tried every pillow with a hole for ears at great expense and to no avail. Consequently I have to sleep on a crappy very soft pillow which I can make an ear shaped depression in with my fist. It helps my ear but I would love to be able to use a big squishy normal pillow without pain!

A tempur one, horribly expensive but when we bought our mattress we got 2 pillows for the price of one and I would categorically never go back. They actually are worth the money.
