Oh no - don’t be sad SoMuch

Sorry petal my aunt died early hours of this morning. She was 95, had been in care home for almost 3 years, not well, but still sad. My cousin phoned this morning, he said it was a relief in a way, which I can understand but still end of an era in our family. x

Thank you all. She was a lovely lady, but sadly her health had deteriorated a lot in the last three years. She was the last out of my parents, uncle and herself to go, the last of that generation. I'm hoping that ds and I might be able to go to the funeral (110 miles away) as we could get there and back in a day, but it will depend on numbers allowed.

But on the bright side, she had a good life, and lived for many years, and I have lovely memories of her.

Much sympathy for your loss, SoMuch. It's particularly sad when the last of a generation dies. I hope you and your DS can get to her funeral.

I bought a hammock - human sized - a few weeks ago and DS2 (age 12) demanded to know why I'd bought it. I was a bit surprised and said why, I thought you'd like it! He looked at me very disparagingly - that pre-teen look - and said, why didn't you get one for each of us! We're going to have to share this one!

I want a hammock!
