I too had a LOL moment at 'playing with machetes in the park'. 😆

I'm sure loads of people are reading your posts @SoMuchToBits, I know I am and really enjoying them too. Thank you.🙂

Riddo · 31/05/2020 09:44

Your thread is the first thing I look at everyday. I haven't commented because I didn't want to fill it up. I love your inventiveness, the attention to detail, the amazing names and most of all your sense of humour - playing with machetes in the park 😂😂.

Thank you for all the effort you have made, my lockdown has really been improved by your thread!

Headingtowardsforty · 31/05/2020 09:47

Just wanted to say I've been loving your playmo threads too. I always read them and they make me smile. My son has the crane too, though he doesn't play with it much these days.

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 31/05/2020 09:50

'Playing with machetes in the park' Grin so, so funny.

It's the deadpan delivery. Proper laugh here too.

Berrys245 · 31/05/2020 09:58

I’ve lurked on these threads since the beginning but never commented- sorry! I love playmobil. It is my favourite toy from my childhood (still have lots of 80s playmobil).
Your scenes and attention to detail are amazing. You have been working so hard and still finding time to entertain us everyday. Thank you so much Somuch 😆

Berrys245 · 31/05/2020 09:59

Oh and maybe Playmoland could start to ease out of lockdown. It would be lovely to see some family reunions

drinkingwineoutofamug · 31/05/2020 10:08

Lurked and never commented. Absolutely loved these threads. I too work in a hospital and this is the first thread I look at after a tiring day. Would love to see an ease of the play mobile lockdown, maybe families doing the social distancing gatherings , bbq?
Enjoy your day out. You deserve it!
And if you decide to ease back yourself from this. Thank you for the light entertainment for the past few weeks

SnugglySnerd · 31/05/2020 10:10

Oh no! I hope his arm recovers! Silly boys playing with machetes though!
I love the thread but understand it just be very time consuming. You have cheered us all up a little each day in lockdown so THANK YOU!

CaptainMyCaptain · 31/05/2020 12:09

Playing with machetes! What silly boys, I'm glad no innocent passer by was injured though.

LunaNorth · 31/05/2020 12:27

I’ve loved these threads. You should get some kind of award for keeping up morale, somuchtobits

You could set up your socially distanced classroom for some of the children to go back to tomorrow. Do they have playmobil Milton and hand sanitiser gel to clean the classroom?

FuzzyPuffling · 31/05/2020 13:32

Oh those puddingheads. Where did they get machetes from? I fear Jack may get a secondary infection, maybe even sepsis and require plastic surgery on his arm. ( See what I did there?)

YetAnotherSpartacus · 31/05/2020 13:43

Desperate desire to watch Reefer Madness.

Not sure why.

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2020 18:14

Thank you all! I'm afraid I can't take the credit for today's idea. Apart from the fact it was in the park, this scenario actually happened a couple of weeks ago with a patient I was looking after in the hospital.

Bunch of mates playing with machetes, one got hurt, came into hospital, operated on, was told he needed to stay in overnight for IV antibiotics, got stroppy, and despite explanations etc decided to discharge himself against medical advice. I probably couldn't have made this up myself! Grin

A real Jellyhead!

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2020 19:45

Ah, and please everyone don't feel you can't comment because of filling the thread up! I really love hearing everyone's ideas and feedback. That makes my day, especially when people make funny comments or provide ideas for new scenes! Smile

The Puddinghead gang really are stupid. Playing with machetes? And what a surprise that it’s based on RL events in East Anglia.

That's the ultimate insult really isn't it. "You lot were SO STUPID that I re-enacted your actions in Playmobil for the amusement of a group of middle aged Mumsnetters!" Grin
SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2020 20:17

Maybe I'll re-enact the next unbelievable hospital admission soon. You couldn't make these things up! Grin

I’m another one guilty of lurking and never commenting. I love this thread and really appreciate all the time and effort you go into to set up the playmo and photograph etc. My dd and I love seeing what is happening every day.
I’m not surprised Jack Jellyhead got injured -was it one of his “friends” that dealt the wounding blow or did he slip and stab himself?!
I’m off out for a socially distanced walk with a friend tomorrow who I’ve not seen since mid-March. Are some of the playmo characters meeting for walks in this way?

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2020 20:28

Ah, lovely to see all the lurkers commenting! Smile I may have to think of some new lockdown easing scenarios...

thedishonthecoffeetable · 31/05/2020 21:12

Another watcher/lurker on all your Playmobil threads. I love them. Do you have spreadsheets to document all the bits you have?

SoMuchToBits · 31/05/2020 21:53

No spreadsheets but have loads of sheets of paper (written in pencil). My absolute bible otherwise is PlaymoDB, a fantastic online database.

For example, I needed this morning an adult sized arm cast. PlaymoDB told me I had this not in the hospital/ambulance sets but in a fire rescue helicopter set! Different box. Thank you PlaymoDB.

Bloodybridget · 31/05/2020 22:35

The arm cast was lovely. I have no sympathy for Jack Jellyhead, and am glad that he's not taking up a bed and staff attention in the hospital. But I guess if his little plastic arm dropped off, it would be a Bad Thing.
