King prawn madras, pilau rice couple of pops.

Gingerkittykat · 10/05/2020 16:14

It depends where I am going.

Take away 1 which is only when staying with friends is tarka dal, palak paneer and mushroom rice.

Take away 2 at home is the 3 curry meal deal for about £13. We get chicken korma, lamb bhuna, a tub of korma sauce, rice and peshwari nan with a starter of mixed pakora.

Indian Buffet includes hagis pakora, a selection of sauces with loads of nan bread and popadoms and a double serving of gulab jamun to finish.

I can't wait till the Indian buffet opens again!

Wow! That sounds cheap, we get 2 mains (large silver foil take away container) and 2 sides for about £25.

Usually we get a lamb dansak, a chicken, tarka dahl and an okra veg.

Frozade · 10/05/2020 16:21

Saag aloo, lentil Dahl and garlic rice!

Morningstar666 · 10/05/2020 16:26

Double onion bhaji, sag paneer, special egg fried rice, plain naan, lamb Korma and jalfrazi. This is for two I swear...

Impatientwino · 10/05/2020 16:29

Chilli paneer
Basmati rice
Tandoori king prawns
Side salad with onions, coriander and lemon
Poppadoms with lime pickle
Chicken jalfrezi

Ooh and a couple of ice cold Cobra!

YahBasic · 10/05/2020 16:33

Onion bhaji - I love a papdi chaat but so few places do them.
Butter chicken
Lamb bhuna
Pilau rice
Peshwari naan
Tons of poppadoms with chutneys and raita

Normally for DH and I to share with leftovers too.

FrothyB · 10/05/2020 16:33

Mushroom Rice, Keema Naan, saag paneer, and a curry depending on the place we're ordering from. Normally something spicy or interesting from the chefs specialites. Always chicken.

Pascha · 10/05/2020 16:36

Chicken dupiaza, sag aloo, peshwari naan and a fucktonne of poppadoms please. I haven't had a decent Indian takeaway for months as the journey there and back is a good 45 minutes if the curry's ready.

bigchris · 10/05/2020 16:38

Pilau rice
Peshwari naan
Chicken korma
Poppadoms

devildeepbluesea · 10/05/2020 16:38

Lamb vindaloo or dhansak
Pilau or mushroom rice
Plain naan
Tarka dhal
Freebie poppadoms.

Enough for at least 2 meals. Lush.

HeronLanyon · 10/05/2020 16:38

Paneer tikka
Bombay aloo or aloo Gobi
Daal
Sag paneer or aloo
Naan
Plain chapati
Haven’t had a takeaway since lockdown. Can’t imagine having one for some time !

Chewbecca · 10/05/2020 16:41

It varies!

Usually one chicken dish and one lamb. Could be dansak, bhuna, sally, korai, sag, dopiaza, maybe biryani, maybe a special. Shashlik sometimes.

One rice, usually mushroom. One bread could be keema naan, plain naan, chilli cheese naan. Maybe chapati.

Then some veg. Sag paneer probably most frequent, but also onion bhaji, brinjal bhaji, sag aloo, aloo gobi, Bombay potatoes. Maybe a dal.

Oh and starter too if we are hungry, samosas, prawn puri, the burgers thing wrapped in egg, chicken tikka, pakora.

It must be different every time!

Shmithecat2 · 10/05/2020 16:42

Prawn Puri, Lamb Vindaloo, Sag Paneer and a Peshwari naan.

homemadecommunistrussia · 10/05/2020 16:49

Sag paneer or peas paneer, if they have it, with pilau rice and a garlic naan.
I nearly always end up with vegetable biryani instead.
Takeaways near me seem to use loads of meat in their curries, but their vegetable dishes are stingy with just onions and potatoes. Confused really disappointing, so I only really have it to be sociable, it's not really a treat.

skankingpiglet · 10/05/2020 16:52

Veggie dhansak, tarka dhal, garlic naan, and onion bhaji. If I am choosing to share with another/will have the leftovers another day then add in a saag aloo and prawn biriyani.

Lighter dinner choice: Tarka dhal and 2 chapatis, then cook and add a fried egg on top once delivered 😋

Sipperskipper · 10/05/2020 16:56

Mmmm good thread. Usually DH & I have one every week.

Popadoms & onion salad, mint sauce, mango chutney

Me: Prawn korma or Chicken dhakeshwari
DH: Chicken Razella (vindaloo hot)

Sides: Varies by week but a couple of- Bindi bhaji, Sag paneer, Lemon rice, peshwari naan, onion bhaji, vegetable samosa

Our local has still been doing deliveries which has been lovely.

MaMaMyCorona · 10/05/2020 16:56

Chicken Madras (for me)
Chicken Dansak (DH)
Pilau Rice (x2)
Garlic Naan (DH)
Chapati (me)

MrsMaryBOOface · 10/05/2020 16:57

If I'm low carbing: tikka meat/fish, achari aubergines, onion bhaji.

If I'm having all the carbs: onion bhaji, a mild curry (masala, korma, pasanda, butter chicken etc) veggie rice, chips and poppadoms
Grin

JustAnotherPoster00 · 10/05/2020 17:01

Chicken tikka phaal, onion rice, peshwari naan and tarka dahl

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 10/05/2020 17:03

Aloo gobi (as a main), lemon & chilli fried rice & either a garlic naan or a chapati (depends how hungry I am).

jay55 · 10/05/2020 17:04

Chicken dhansak and keema paratha.
Add lamb chops if I'm feeling rich.
Often buy a plain naan to make into Pizza the next day.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 10/05/2020 17:14

The one we are ordering from is a new place weve discovered. We really lucky round here that most takeaways are delivering.
