What's the tastiest low calorie salad dressing?

I'm calorie counting, and I resent using up valuable calories (99 cals per tablespoon) making my salads taste a bit more interesting.

In my experience, commercial fat-free dressings taste fairly hideous, but haven't touched anything of the such for years (probably why I'm fat).

Any recommendations? Open to making my own...

I’d forgotten about raspberry vinegar that’s yummy especially with avocado

Oh I did love avocado in salad. With bacon.

Sadly, when you've got as big as I have AND hit menopause, low cal and IF is probably my only hope of shifting it now.

Wait, what - raspberry? Vinegar? What is this fruity vinegar if which ye speak? Can you get it in good old Asda or is it a trip to Waitrose?

Another vote for a splash of balsamic vinegar. With a massive glug of olive oil

I like the pizza express one that was mentioned earlier.
Although, when I'm trying to keep calories really low I just have picked beetroot with my salad instead of a dressing.

I like olive oil, lemon juice and mint also nice with a bit of sumac.

I haven't read the thread yet but I quite often like pickled beetroot when I have salad and use a few teaspoons (as little or as much as you like though) of the vinegar from the jar on it too. Dp like pickled red cabbage on his salad.

Not everyone likes the idea of vinegar on salad but it can be great alternative to creamy salad dressings.

Or I use a couple of spoons of coleslaw which means no salad dressing is needed as it is already creamy.

I know I’m going to sound like a twat but if you make a nice salad, won’t low calorie mayo or coleslaw be enough?

If your using iceberg lettuce and wrinkly cucumbers, it’s needs dressing

If your using rocket, spinach, baby tomatoes, radish, peppers, beetroot etc low calorie mayo or low fat coleslaw would be enough?
