Mine has been Indian, korean, and pizza.

It has been lovely treating ourselves twice a week.

Favourite, sorry!

Chicken/wings from a place DP usually goes to for lunch when he’s at work. Super tasty and cheaper than Nando’s! Been craving it again ever since but with a veggie DS and a DD who hates anything vaguely spicy, it’s usually pizza here Sad

RUSU92 · 28/04/2020 23:00

Also butter chicken that I made in my Instant Pot, which is just as good as takeaway.

RUSU92 · 28/04/2020 23:00

In fact I have a bowl left in the fridge that is calling to me for a midnight snack!

JayAlfredPrufrock · 28/04/2020 23:02

Not had one. But then I never do. I don’t understand takeaways.

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:02

I bloody love Nandos, DH not so much. Angry

Not had any. I'd worry it would bring the virus into my home.

Redshoeblueshoe · 28/04/2020 23:04

I had Indian on Saturday, it was gorgeous.
I also did a nice fakeaway last week, I made kofta kebabs, on naan bread, with shredded cabbage and yogurt. Delicious

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:05

Indian is always our go to takeaway, but recently DH fancies korean meals and it has grown on me.

Indian

Titsywoo · 28/04/2020 23:05

Chinese for me I think. Just discovered salt and pepper chicken wings which are delicious!

For DH it's a local pizza place that does great wood fired neopolitan style pizzas.

For the DC probably Indian.

Titsywoo · 28/04/2020 23:06

We've been having one every Saturday night - mixing it up each week.

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:06

@Titsywoo

Wish we could all have our own, but it becomes more costly that way! Jelly!!!

I’ve had one in the whole time. Indian and it was superb.

Babymamamama · 28/04/2020 23:08

Turkish and Italian both from independent restaurants we usually visit regularly to eat in at and which have only gone onto uber eats for lockdown. DD is craving for Wagamama to be available for home delivery but I want to keep supporting the good independents for an occasional treat as we are lucky to still be working in our household and truly counting our blessings in lockdown era.

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:08

@Titsywoo

Yes, that's what we do. We take turns every Saturday and Wednesday figure out what we will order.

DD always chooses pizza, but we do try to make it healthy Hmm

girlofthenorth · 28/04/2020 23:09

My DDs and DH won't get one ! They are worried about hygiene and that it might transmit the virus ...Sad

MyHipsDontLieUnfortunately · 28/04/2020 23:09

@RUSU92, do you have a recipe for that IP butter chicken by any chance please?

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:09

@Babymamamama

Now I'm craving Wagamamas!

browzingss · 28/04/2020 23:09

This is a sore subject for me.

Most of my favourite restaurants and franchises that deliver (eg Nando’s deliveroo) have closed. Aside from dominos & Pizza Hut, I don’t actually have any decent takeaway options. I don’t really like ordering from independent takeaways as they tend to have abysmal hygiene ratings in my area!

Chesneyhawkes1 · 28/04/2020 23:09

Indian followed by pizza

pancakeloverrr · 28/04/2020 23:12

@browzingss

Hygiene is a problem for some independent restaurants, aren't they.
I only order from tried and trusted ones we frequently have been to pre-lockdown.

Thai green chicken curry with coconut rice
Or,
Chicken nagar with fried aubergine.

RUSU92 · 28/04/2020 23:56

@MyHipsDontLieUnfortunately this is the recipe I used - two sleevers butter chicken I doubled the quantities as we’re gannets! It fed 3 of us for dinner, plus 4 portions for leftovers.

SnowsInWater · 29/04/2020 00:41

We don't usually get takeaway but we have been getting pizza and Chinese once a week as both restaurants are family run and have been around for years, we want them to survive. My preference would be Indian but there are no great Indian restaurants nearby.
