The context was clear. Immediately following an update on research into how UV light and bleach affects the half-life of coronavirus in saliva droplets, he started rambling about getting the light inside the body and injecting disinfectant.

The he claimed he was being sarcastic, to see what the reporters would do. Or that he was actually talking about UV light and disinfectant on hands. Or something. Who knows? When you talk incoherent shut constantly, you can pretty much skim it meant anything you like.

There are advocates for taking some form of bleach. There is a US group called Genesis II which peddles miracle mineral liquid that cures aids, autism, cancer etc. Supposedly the leader of these loons has been in contact with Donald.

I would hope that one of those scientists would have said that was not a good idea - and suggested he didn't speak about it.
