EasyJet flights ?

I thought easyJet flights have been grounded till mid May and we are not supposed to go until end of May

They are just trying to eek out the amount of refunds they need to issue at once and not to spook the share holders.

AnyFucker · 23/04/2020 13:46

Less than zero

I have written off my August trip too

Smarshian · 23/04/2020 13:47

I am hoping to go away in the UK in September. But think it’s unlikely. Spain in May? Zero chance.

KitchenConfidential · 23/04/2020 13:48

You're joking, right?

Tootletum · 23/04/2020 13:49

We had a Eurotunnel trip booked for then. Not expecting it to happen.

Lardlizard · 23/04/2020 13:50

I’ve tried to call them but you get a message saying try again later !!

It's not a question of can you!
More a question of why would you risk yours and loved one's life, when we will have sun in the UK.

cowfacemonkey · 23/04/2020 13:51

We were refunded back in March for school trip abroad that was set for end of May so I would highly doubt you'll be going anywhere.

Bluewater1 · 23/04/2020 13:52

Nil chance.
I'm doubtful about our UK holiday at the end of August

getyoursocksoffhoney · 23/04/2020 13:52

There's no point ringing them they won't tell you anything other than what they have already published online

BearSoFair · 23/04/2020 13:53

Zero. I have EasyJet flights for the 20th and 25th of May, they haven't cancelled them yet but I'm just waiting for it in the hope of a refund (rather than it being my decision to cancel earlier). I've cancelled all the rest of the trip.

Maybe I'm pessimistic or realistic but I think the safest way to think at the moment is to assume every trip (or even large event) planned for the rest of 2020 is likely to be at risk of not happening.

daisyjgrey · 23/04/2020 13:54

You'll be lucky if you're able to go to Droitwich in May, let alone abroad.

Apolloanddaphne · 23/04/2020 13:54

There is no chance you will be going and no point phoning them right now. Just leave it until nearer the time. If your accommodation is cancellable do it now.

Nicknacky · 23/04/2020 13:54

There is no point ringing them. You will hear from them at some point.

circusintown · 23/04/2020 13:54

Why are you trying to call them? They won't and can't give you any answers now and they've explicitly stated they will only deal with people who have had flights cancelled for the next so many hours.

July likely won't go ahead either.

blue25 · 23/04/2020 13:54

May-zero
August-zero
January-possibly

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 23/04/2020 13:55

😂 ain’t happening

sanealaddin · 23/04/2020 13:56

I'm assuming you don't mean to Spain? To a country where they are in such a strict lockdown at the moment that people living there can't even go for a short walk?

Lianepl · 23/04/2020 13:57

Zero, I would think. I've just had school text me about a July trip to Paris that they have decided to postpone and are saying that it might go ahead in October half term.

Having said that, the Girl Guiding Association are still saying that a trip to Ghana in late July is still going ahead...

Violetparis · 23/04/2020 13:58

Nil, can't understand why anyone would think otherwise.

Lefkosia · 23/04/2020 14:01

We just rearranged our June holiday to the end of September and have our fingers crossed we will be able to go.

Inconnu · 23/04/2020 14:03

OP, they're contacting travellers in order of date of flight. I wouldn't bother trying to phone them.

1forAll74 · 23/04/2020 14:04

Not much chance I agree. Its far too early to go abroad. I am amazed that anyone would consider this at the moment. The very thought of being stuck in a Jet is horrible.not to mention how things would be in a foreign area.

thejollygargler · 23/04/2020 14:05

Where would you not be going to?
What would you do when you got there?

Lardlizard · 23/04/2020 14:06

Well finally Got through and they said flight are not happening in April and May
But won’t get cancelled on the system until 7 days before, so you have to wait for your refund unless you want a credit note, which they can do now
Just info for anyone else reading

So basically no refund until 7 days before you are supposed to be going
