Anyone else?
Shall we do something about it?

Says 90% of population, surely?! Grin I’m in to try and cut down on both.

Clutterfreeintraining · 21/04/2020 18:22

Me!!

I am working between 1 and 3 days a week but the rest of the times is wasted.

One day last week, I clocked up almost 12 hours on my phone Blush. I’ve since switched to the iPad and it’s a lot better Grin

I do really need to deal with the eating though.

ZetaPuppis · 21/04/2020 18:25

12 hours? I’m sure I’ve been there some days Blush

Ipadipod · 21/04/2020 18:26

I have spent a whole day playing candy crush Blush

Watertorture · 21/04/2020 18:32

Absolutely Blush I start of each day with good intentions but after a couple of hours of home schooling...

Potterspotter · 21/04/2020 18:37

Ha, I wish I could turn off that screen time report thing, it always is a glimpse of how much of every day I’m attempting to ignore my children for. One day I’ll kick my phone and snack addiction!

Makegoodchoices · 21/04/2020 19:15

I think I’ve given myself RSI with how much I’m on my phone, my elbow is killing me and my thumbs are achy.

Appuskidu · 21/04/2020 19:17

I’m so glad it’s not just me!

I can’t even remember what I used to do before the internet?!

Fedupandpoor · 21/04/2020 19:20

Oh God, me too! I've just checked my screen time, 44 hours in the last 7 days Blush

Some of that is music and YouTube kids, but the majority of it is me.

Rockbird · 21/04/2020 19:28

I've already become institutionalised. I don't think I'd know how to go back to work Blush

CelloMellow · 21/04/2020 19:52

This is my thread too. Ive actually made a chart and put it in the fridge. My children and I are ticking stuff off when we've done it everyday to make sure we dont just waste days and days. Think of about ten things you could realistically do every day (from as small as you like, I literally have "eat vitamin chew" on mine). Then at least you can track what you are doing even if the rest of the time is frittered away!

ZetaPuppis · 21/04/2020 20:14

@CelloMellow I like that idea. A daily list! Fab.

In my defence, I have had really productive days too .

ZetaPuppis · 22/04/2020 08:02

So I’m up (and on my phone Hmm)
I’m trying to plan a good day today.
So far I’ve got some online training, exercise, laundry and cleaning but I feel like I need something more.

Clutterfreeintraining · 22/04/2020 08:35

Morning!
I'm up and showered and feel that's a good improvement on most of my non-work days so far Grin

Rockbird - I agree re going back to work properly. I really don't know how I'm going to cope when I'm back to full capacity.

Today, I want to clear all the mess off my bed (I sleep in about 1/3 of it and the rest is piled with clean washing and an unpacked tent Blush), change the bedding and wash the old bedding. Perfectly achievable, yes?

ZetaPuppis · 22/04/2020 10:02

I’ve done my workout, showered, kids are sitting down to school work.
I’m about to do some chores but having a quick check on my phone.
I need to find some more stuff to add to my list!

Is anybody not wasting time on their phone and not eating a load of crap - it's the main way to pass the time at the moment surely!! Grin

Clutterfreeintraining · 22/04/2020 10:15

Well done, @ZetaPuppis!! Excellent start Star

I've cleared all the clothes and now just trying to work out how to get the tent into some sort of tidied state and where to put it when it's done Confused

Oh and I'm hungry but trying to hold off until 12...how is it only 10.15?!

Jovial - it's true Smile

ZetaPuppis · 22/04/2020 10:22

@Clutterfreeintraining thank you Smile
Well done to you too.

I’m also trying to wait till 12 to eat. The smell of toast that the kids are eating is driving me to distraction.

I know I’m back on my phone again. I think I need time limits on my phone use too.

Bathbedandbeyond · 22/04/2020 10:39

Me Grin

Clutterfreeintraining · 22/04/2020 11:54

I’ve moved to the iPad to cheat clocking up time on the phone HmmGrin

Bed is cleared, changed and bedding in the machine. And I turned my mattress...probably for the first time in a couple of years.

Stopped for brunch at 11.15 and just thinking about what to do next. Might tackle the craft chaos in the kitchen.

@ZetaPuppis - the smell of someone else’s toast cooking is torture. Fortunately for me, ds tends to make his at 3am so I’m safe Grin

Waxonwaxoff0 · 22/04/2020 12:28

Yep. DS is having a lot of screen time too.

I'm past caring at the moment. We've never been in this situation before, and when we're finally allowed out again we will be making up for lost time out of the house so way less phone time!

Haggisfish · 23/04/2020 08:20

I’m up, have collected shopping, put a wash on and hoovered two floors-hurray!

Clutterfreeintraining · 23/04/2020 09:08

Wow! You’ve been ultra-productive!

I’m working today but have got a couple of jobs done and the kitchen is looking less of an health hazard now - it’ll be back to its normal state by the time I get home from work.

Haggisfish · 23/04/2020 09:14

There seems to be a direct correlation between how much alcohol I consume the night before and my levels of productivity..Hmm
