Is there anyone else on here that likes to smoke weed?

On all the threads I've seen that have mention cannabis it usually made out like the worse thing ever.

I'm a bit of a stoner tbh and just wondered if there is any others out there? I always see threads with people sharing what they drinking so thought I'd give it a go!

Soo many things, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Limmy's show, American dad, you've been framed, documentaries about pretty much anything, 4K videos on YouTube of places like zermatt and Norway...

And, omg my favourite how could I forget, football! Football is sooo good to watch stoned and in hd, preferably 4K. And I used to hate football! I watched all or nothing Man City on Amazon while baked, amazing.

Can I join you and ask some dumb questions? I want to start using 'something' but not sure what. I have chronic pain and I've been up and down the pain meds ladder over the last 10 yrs. I'm now on the lowest I can possibly cope on. I was taking fentanyl every day, which was great for the pain but left me unable to function cognitively.

I've never smoked and recently tried to vape, so that I could move on to some kind of weed vaping, but just couldn't do it. I think I'd be best with edibles or a tea.

What do I buy and how do I then prepare it? Thanks ladies

Hi @whatnow40 - it's certainly something worth trying. I'm not surprised that you were struggling to function with fentanyl.
It'll be a bit of trial and error I think, especially if you're in the UK and not really in the position to have a choice of what you buy.
Have you tried (good, proper) CBD yet? That might be the easiest thing to get hold of, and may do the job. There's good and bad available, and the good stuff isn't cheap. CBD Brothers are highly rated for medical use and they certainly used to send out trials.

Otherwise, you'll be at the mercy of what you can get hold of, but different strains will have different properties and some better for pain (and different sorts of pain) than others.
But I would try it with whatever, but start with really small doses, so you can see what you're dealing with. There's tons of tutorials on making cannabutter, so that would be the easiest way to eat it (you can bake with it, just eat it on it's own, on toast etc.)

Thanks @Slurpy I did try CBD Brothers a couple of years ago, the one I tried cost £40 for 2 weeks supply and I didn't feel any difference with pain. I'd actually like to have the high as well, so that I can cut down/cut out wine. I drink a bit too often, simply because it helps me relax and deal with the level of pain I'm in. I know my pain meds aren't strong enough, but when I take stronger, I feel like I loose myself. I'm self medicating with wine and want to change that aspect really. Soooo, cannabutter then?! I'll get on YouTube.

It would be a shame if advice/experiences can't be shared, as this is something I literally cannot ask anyone else. I've even asked my pain doctor and he simply said "we live in [major city], buy some if you want to." I don't expect a doctor to give any more help than that but I feel like I've exhausted every option and value being able to ask 'normal' people about this.

@Ylfa I love to watch reality TV when high, watched Keeping up with the kardashians the other night, I just find it beyond bizzare and funny ha!

And love a good documentary obviously. Haven't found any good ones for a while though.

@whatnow40 edibles are a good bet to get mellow and hopefully help with pain! But yea id take it slow and only consume small amounts at a time when doing edibles.

I have brewed a tea before but don't know if it did a lot.

I usually smoke alone (well with DH too) and am not keen to be high around others.. Maybe I've just got used to it that way though.

Totally get you about the chatting shit though lol. I vaped outside the other night during sunset and gazed at the big tree in my garden for about 20 minutes thinking about nature and life and then wondered for a while how do trees actually grow?! Do they grow from their tips(the branches) or/and the bottom... All while getting thicker.

@Californiabakes I've never bought online, you can through the dark Web ect but I wouldn't have a clue where to go with that 😂
I do know people who have been ripped off on their though. A lot of sellers on Instagram these days, with fancy weeds, edibles ect but I think you still have to meet them.

My DP smokes a couple of joints every day. I used to smoke it with him but it doesn’t agree with me and makes me quite paranoid and anxious. He made some space cookies last week and I ate on by mistake and then spent the day on the couch feeling like I was tripping my tits off. He either made them really strong or I just have zero tolerance levels now as I felt absolutely fucked for about 6 hours

Thanks @Lemonnhoney I’ve living vicariously through this thread. I just wish anything worked as well for my anxiety / depression. I only smoke one / two spliffs a day but it’s enough to keep me level. I’ve had several panic attacks today, I’m close to knocking on a door on our estate who I’m pretty sure deals I just don’t want to be stabbed I’m hoping our friend goes to pick some up socially distanced of course soon, I’m not sure I can last much longer.

DH and I have one spliff every night, have done for many years (actually gave up for 6 months once a couple of years ago, to see if it made any difference to anything, but it didn't!). Don't smoke weed, find it too much unless it's certain strains, prefer a nice crumbly pollen type solid, but would love to start vaping instead as I vape anyway. But I know the US vaping linked lung issues were to do with THC vape stuff, so a bit nervous of sourcing it. Our guy can apparently get some though.

Have less than a week's supply left though, so another break coming I guess. I doubt things will get so bad that we resort to weed from the village dealer (our guy is a long term family friend of my parents who I love like an uncle but lives 40 mins away).

@JohnFinlaysNewTeeth wish it was open so you could get it in a shop! It's frustrating when you can't get any but you know fine well there will be lots be selling about!

@Gammeldragz I just vape the bud! Cheaper too I've heard of some thc vape juice stuff but at about £50 for a bit of it!

Was it Bubble hash a PP was asking about? It's made from a specific part of the living plant, my father made some a few years ago (he's been a weed grower/seller for most of my life, never lived with me as a child, I always wondered what he did as he never had a job!).
Oooh, wonder if he will post me some...
I get worried about neighbours noticing the smell though, especially weed, which is another reason I avoid weed. My sister is a proper Stoner, like debilitating level IMO (like an alcoholic, but for weed) and her house stinks as do her clothes, it's so obvious. I have a reputation as a serious professional and mother to uphold!
If only it were legal here...
