Scones...can you whip double cream to plop on top?

So dont have clotted ceeam only double can u whip it to make it stiff so to plop on top?

Of course, my dad hates clotted cream so has always had whipped double. Just add some icing sugar to help thicken it up a bit more.

of course, why ever not!? You can whip double cream till its really stiff, you don't need icing sugar to do that.

You can make clotted cream from whipped cream

Normally I buy extra thick double cream which plops on beautifully and I don't have to whisk it...

Well that is what you do with it!

Cream cakes that you can buy contain whipped double cream.

Add a bit of icing sugar, and a few drops of vanilla extract for really yummy cream!

Of course the whipped cream goes on top of the jam. Whipped cream is very soft - how on earth would you spread jam on top of it?! Of course, the cream goes on top whatever kind of cream it is anyway.

Squirty cream works well but has to be consumed quickly.
