You can make clotted cream from whipped cream

How? Is it easy?

Crocky · 18/04/2020 12:06

It has to be strawberry jam. None of your raspberry stuff @NaomiFromMilkshake.

Squirty cream works well but has to be consumed quickly

I'll let you off in the current circumstances, but you must realise that's completely unacceptable, and I hope you don't run a tearoom or cafe.

If I had the power I would close down any commercial establishment servicing either squirty cream on scones or scones that hadn't been baked from scratch that day.

Lemonblast · 18/04/2020 14:52

I use raspberry jam as well.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 18/04/2020 15:12

Lemonblast You are doing yourself no favours love, carry on like this and Naomi and I will be getting a posse together to hunt you down.

Overseasmom100 · 18/04/2020 21:13

Turned out great Grin
I used the recipe with a squeeze of lemon...scones are so light and fluffy.

Whipped that double cream up and it was lovely ... Pleased with myself Grin

fromage fraiche

What fraiche hell is this?

Jasmin82 · 19/04/2020 06:08

I now want scones with jam and cream (or whichever way it goes). I have no scones or cream and am now sulking and trying to decide if I can spin the buying of scones and cream as essential.

Tashtegotoo · 19/04/2020 06:16

@MrsEricBana
Beautiful.

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/04/2020 06:21

What fraiche hell is this?

You win. Content and delivery.

lazylinguist · 19/04/2020 10:19

I'm feeling both culinarily and linguistically appalled by fromage fraiche. Grin But seriously impressed by 'What fraiche hell is this?' (Aside from the lack of a circumflex accent, obvs. Wink)

Makeitgoaway · 19/04/2020 10:22

Whipped cream much nicer than clotted cream IMO

MrsEricBana · 19/04/2020 12:01
Grin
P1nkHeartLovesCake · 19/04/2020 12:04

Yes of course you can!

It should always be jam and then cream on top so you get more cream on that scone
