Delivery slots

Sorry if I'm rambling, I'm tired, stayed up on purpose and struggling. I'm not sure if this is even in the right place, my search doesn't seem to be working properly either so apologies if there are already recent threads on this.

Does anyone know where I can get a food delivery slot for in 2 weeks time or what time I need to check certain sites? I usually shop at aldi and do an online shop with either ocado/tesco every couple of months but I'm unable to get to aldi now as the person who used to give me a lift is isolating with symptoms. It's far too far to walk and I'm disabled so can't carry a lot. My 5yo is immunosuppressed (but not classed as vulnerable enough for a priority slot) so would prefer not to shop at local shops, though a lot are closed/not allowing children in anyway. Can anyone advise of anywhere I can get a slot for after the 20th (where they don't take the money until delivery day or a few days before as that's when I get paid)?

Thanks so much in advance

I think it probably depends on area.

Yes most likely.

Thank you all for responding, haven't read through yet as I fell asleep and I've been really busy today but will do so now and keep all of this in mind!

@NightOwl92 Thanks, I have had a look and there are some on our local facebook sites but I'm finding most won't deliver for a small order and I can't afford/store/use up the big bundles they are doing :(
@JustStayHome yes sadly we aren't eligible for the government help. Vulnerable, just not vulnerable enough for a slot!
@RhymingRabbit3 no obviously I don't know anyone or I wouldn't have an issue would I? I know I probably sound like a dick and thank you I do appreciate you responding but it just seems like a silly question? There's nobody to look after my son in any case, my usual lift is a close family member and my sibling has looked after my son previous times (she had already been in contact with him when I had an important hospital appointment before anyone gets annoyed I'm mixing households!)
@FlamingoandJohn yes I've checked theres nothing near me. I checked Ocado, Tesco, Asda, Iceland, Morrisons last night and all of them were only showing up slots until the 27th if not sooner and nothing available at all.
@SpillTheTeaa I did look into this but my nearest click and collect points are about 25 mins away (asda and tesco) which I can't get to or afford a taxi to do the journey for me :(

Hope all my tags work. Thank you so much everyone even if I haven't responded to you directly, I know I sound like I'm rejecting or have an excuse for every option but there really aren't that many options for me as I'm in such a difficult situation! I'm trying my best! My local Co-op and Tesco express aren't allowing children in, not great to take 5yo out but would be better than nothing as long as I kept him next to me and away from others, and the premier across the road has fully closed for the time being. I'm going to keep trying with Ocado and Tesco as I'm a regular customer (though not sure it scores me any brownie points at the moment), couldn't register with sainsburys but I am also a member with Morrisons as a family member works there (so a decent discount, worth it for certain shops eg christmas) and Asda as I've bought clothes from there before. Fingers crossed for this evening Hmm

I found with Morrison's that if you keep refreshing the page slots eventually pop up.

KatherineJaneway · 13/04/2020 21:41

A few more options:

  • Join your local Facebook group and ask for help
  • Join nextdoor.com and see if someone local will help
  • Join covidmutualaid.org/ and see if someone local will help

Hi OP,

Check Morrison’s every day between 6-7am they add more slots all the time!

Hope this helps!

Heartofglass12345 · 15/04/2020 00:58

I went on tesco this morning around 11am just on the off chance, and there were more slots available over the next few days whereas they've been booked up solid for the next 3 weeks before. I managed to get a home delivery for Thursday. Worth checking all the time. Good luck

There are some on Morrison's tonight depending on location as just shipped for my mum
