Apparently he has died from Covid-19

I don't really remember him from The Goodies but I did like him on I'm sorry I haven't a clue.

KaronAVyrus · 12/04/2020 14:14

RIP Tim

I’ve been a big fan for the past 40yrs+.

Hopefully the BBC will re-run the Goodies.

HPLikecraft · 12/04/2020 14:14

That is so sad. The Goodies was my favourite programme as a child; no Christmas was complete without The Goodies and the Beanstalk!

RIP Mr Brooke Taylor, thanks for all the laughs.

morecoffeerequired · 12/04/2020 14:17

Oh no, RIP Tim.

angorarabbit · 12/04/2020 14:18

RIP Tim, a lovely man ......such fond memories of the Goodies, no other programme quite like it! (+ Funky Gibbon!)

GlorianaCervixia · 12/04/2020 14:21

A real loss. So, so sad.

HPLikecraft · 12/04/2020 14:22

Ah yes, @angorarabbit, who could forget the Funky Gibbon? I'm going to be singing that all day now!

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 12/04/2020 14:25

I watched the Goodies as a bairn.

Loved him on ISIHAC.

Sad news Sad

PoorlyWeasels · 12/04/2020 14:30

Oh what a shame Sad

Stellamboscha · 12/04/2020 14:34

No, the reporting is that he died 'with' it, not 'of' it.
A distinction the Swedes make but the British seem unable to grasp.

MigginsMs · 12/04/2020 14:35

So sad, I’m gutted :(

Bloody virus

Shinyfloors · 12/04/2020 14:35

BiggerBoat1 · 12/04/2020 14:36

RIP Flowers

What a loss. Absolute comedy legend.
Thoughts with his family.

It is reported he died with Covid19 not from it though so lets not make any assumptions.

MrsGrindah · 12/04/2020 14:38

@Stellamboscha Not really the time for pedantry. People are just here to pay respects .

I saw him in Jan in a live recording of ISIHAC.Thought he was marvellous for his age then. Loved his Queen Victoria voice. RIP

noideaatallreally · 12/04/2020 14:40

Loved the Goodies and SIHGAC. He always came across as a warm, funny, true gentleman. This is such sad news.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/04/2020 14:41

BBC quotes Jack Dee: "It has come as devastating news to hear that Tim has succumbed to this dreadful virus - especially when we all thought he was recovering." I see no point in nitpicking about what exactly caused his death. Pretty clear though that it doesn't do anyone's health any good to get this virus. At 79 he may have had underlying conditions. Most older people will. Dreadfully sad, whatever the cause of death.

Icantbelieveitsnotnutter · 12/04/2020 14:42

No Sad we saw him in Jan at an ISIHAC live show with Jack Dee, et al. That's so sad to hear.

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/04/2020 14:42

Barry Cryer's 85. Sharp as a tack still. Hope he's staying inside!

BetelgeuseIsOrionsArmpit · 12/04/2020 14:45

I grew up watching the Goodies, so this is a real shame. Today is a bad day as we also lost Stirling Moss too.

StrangerDaysAhoy · 12/04/2020 14:46

Farewell, Timbrook. Flowers

You are in your land of hope and glory now. Thank you for the wonderful laughs.

SnowBrussels · 12/04/2020 14:47

I loved the Goodies growing up. RIP Tim.

wowfudge · 12/04/2020 14:49

How sad - TBT was a voice of a 70s childhood. Loved The Goodies and ISIHAC.

SoMuchToBits · 12/04/2020 14:54

Oh no! How sad. Sad I'll miss him on ISIHAC.

forgetthehousework · 12/04/2020 14:54

Sad news, we always watched The Goodies and loved the innocent lunacy of it. RIP.

Genderwitched · 12/04/2020 15:00

I'm sad, I loved the Goodies as a child and now my young people do too, what a legacy. We'll miss him very much Sad
