What have you done if you are WFH

So far I have painted the kitchen cupboards and kitchen.

Painted the front door with the left over cupboard paint as it can be used on the door also.

Made a load of batch meals and froze them.

I'm going to de weed the cement in the paving flags at the weekend and re cement them.

Then I might gloss everywhere that needs it if I am really, really looking for something to do.

I've had 90% less work than usual

Iggly · 03/04/2020 22:13

Worked and looked after the kids

Passthecake30 · 03/04/2020 22:15

Worked with the kids sitting at the same table. In reality, I've taken a long lunch break to exercise with them, and not got much done until they finish and can have their electronics (3.15). I then make up for the work I haven't done earlier. House is a mess, would be nice to tidy up at the weekend, but need to catch up on work...

HeyMicky · 03/04/2020 22:16

Politely, that sounds quite a fortunate position to be in.

DH and I are both working from home, and it involves hours of calls and then creating stuff as well, plus managing the DC's school work and supervising/establishing play and exercise

Dontsayyouloveme · 03/04/2020 22:16

Worked and looked after my son!

BumblePan · 03/04/2020 22:16

I cant wait to get back to the office. Work has been crazy busy and I have worked much longer days than normal.

Elieza · 03/04/2020 22:19

Worked even longer hours than usual. Utterly knackered. I do less on the office. Can’t wait to go back there for a rest.
Now there’s a phrase I need et thought I’d utter....! Grin

Elieza · 03/04/2020 22:19

Never thought.

Sigh. Fat thumbs.

AngelaScandal · 03/04/2020 22:21

Fuck all. 2 under 3 underfoot.

YahBasic · 03/04/2020 22:21

Working 11 hour days, 6 days per week, cooking and crashing out.

Weekend is basically a bit of exercise and cleaning.

Not a change we’re getting time to do jobs around the house, we’re working crazy hours.

Fizzywinegum · 03/04/2020 22:23

Just done my normal job but at home - must be nice to have all that time to do DIY etc

Bumply · 03/04/2020 22:26

Working sane amount as usual, but no commute and nothing to do at the weekends mean I've deep cleaned the kitchen.
This is a mega achievement for me as I normally live in a total state of chaos, but being around more meant I couldn't ignore it.

CharDeeMacDennis · 03/04/2020 22:28

Er, worked 😆 10 hour shifts and every minute accounted for

RJnomore1 · 03/04/2020 22:30

Done 60 hour weeks trying to deal with this shit mostly

I don’t mean to sound jealous (but I am) but I’m sick to death of hearing about people organising their cupboards while I’m run totally ragged.

mrsed1987 · 03/04/2020 22:31

Worked and looked after 14 month old, its so tiring doing both at the same time!

FunnysInLaJardin · 03/04/2020 22:34

worked, its been busier than ever trying to do my job remotely. Doing more hours than when at work.

Looking forward to the weekend!

The kids have had to sort themselves out, and do work when they can tbh. Thankfully they are 10 and 14

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:38

I'm sorry everyone my post is insensitive. I'm also working I'm just not busy as much as usual in work but I'm not being furloughed.

They've reduced my hours and reduced my pay to match my hours. I'm homeschooling too. I'm doing the diy whilst my Dd is working in her school work and in between helping her.

I'm used to being run off my feet with one thing or another and this time for me so far has allowed me to get stuff done I wouldn't normally be able to or have the time to.

Sorry if I have fucked anyone off it wasn't my intention but I can see how I've been a bit insensitive.

I'm still doing my entire job!

CountFosco · 03/04/2020 22:41

Busy with work and everything seems to take longer. Doing an early shift for work, have my lunch then DH works. I've got a cough so get tired and have been having a sleep in the afternoon and neglecting the DC. Glad they are on holiday next week. House is a tip. Glad we have plenty of space at least, we have a study for me and DH to work in and the playroom now is the schoolroom with two computers for the (3) DC. Hoping to do some DIY over the Easter long weekend.

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:42

If you are wfh and are busier than usual what do you do?

OP posts:
thekingfisher · 03/04/2020 22:44

HR it's been the most mental 6 weeks in a 20+ yr career

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:47

Didnt think about HR at all in all of this but yep you are no doubt busy to say the least.

SueEllenMishke · 03/04/2020 22:47

Worked, worked, worked, tried to do some home learning with DS but totally feel like I'm failing at that.
I'm exhausted.
I'm a senior lecturer at a university.
DH is a senior manager at another university and is the same.

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:49

Do you have to lecture online now?

OP posts:
BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 03/04/2020 22:49

Worked. Childcare. Usual housework and cooking.

Finance so its mega busy with year end. And everything takes twice as long at home.
