Funny time of year for ducks. Mid mating season so the boys are fighting and the females (its a female in the video) are often on eggs and only coming out a couple of times a day to eat.

Ducks are usually a lot cleverer than cats. We have wild ducks and they have the measure of all the local cats, but when they are distracted they are vulnerable and one of our males was grabbed last year by a cat whilst in the midst of a fight with another male (he lived to tell the tale).

I howled at that video though. Brilliant.

they could have just picked it up and taken it back, instead of releasing it where they did, still had to film it didn't they.
