It's from Facebook and the Daily Mail..m.facebook.com/story.php? story_fbid=2927821467298754&id=611371138943810
As my friend so succinctly put it... "Ha ha if that was you you'd have sh..t yourself... Grin

@nitgel I never understand the “bloody cats” thinking. Cats are not naturally vegan and don’t have the ability to think “shall I attempt to kill a duck? Nah, that would be wrong, ducks have a right to life, I’ll just fetch some tofu from the shops/eat other animals like my humans do.”

Great video, that man sounds like he has a lot of patience.

JuanSheetIsPlenty · 03/04/2020 14:56

Am I the only one thinking I couldn’t film if that happened in my house because it’s such a tip right now? Grin

PurpleBlueAnemone · 03/04/2020 15:13

One cat I had started off by bringing in worms.
Progressed to moths.
The baby frog that went inside the underneath workings of the fridge and screamed as it was rescued.
And finally the years and years of bringing in live mice.
Life is quite peaceful now.

Is anyone else hoping for a MN thread about someone taking their daily exercise and having a duck thrown at them from an upstairs window?

DishingOutDone · 03/04/2020 15:29

I KNEW that thing wasn't dead, even before I knew it was a duck. Loved that video, Slippers is going to be a legend.

Elderflower14 · 03/04/2020 15:34

I seriously think Slippers may be the feline version of "FENTON 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I was just amazed at the enatly folded clothes on the chair!

I was impressed.

The duck was fine and looked absolutely fine. It did that little waggle with it/s tail when it got out.

SnowStag · 03/04/2020 17:31

the word was 'neatly'

BoswellsBollocks · 03/04/2020 18:46

This is why I can never have another cat!

Growing up our cats would often bring in birds and mice, considering my DM was phobic of both I’m amazed we ever had cats as pets.

Our first cat was a rescue and was such an old, lazy boy there was never any danger of him bringing us any surprises.

DH talks about us getting another cat but I’m so scared of frogs and I just know any cat we get will be just the type to bring little presents of green, slimy bastards...

underneaththeash · 03/04/2020 18:50

I can’t watch link sadly, but outs as a teenage cat brought a live squirrel through the cat flap. Then decided it was too burly and scary and hid.

DH squeaked a lot and I managed to catch it in a box and rake it back outside. They’re actually quite large!

janj2301 · 03/04/2020 18:55

Mine has brought in an Injured pigeon hubby had to finish off and an indignant magpie that flew off when we opened the door. We also get a hedgehog come in if the kitchen door is open and tucks into the cat's food

TrickyD · 03/04/2020 19:01

Our cat brought in a dead pigeon through the cat flap. DH made a pigeon pie with it. Waste not want not.

lemontreebird · 03/04/2020 19:05

How come he couldn't fetch his own blanket or towel?

dementedma · 03/04/2020 19:12

That was funny.

ineedaholidaynow · 03/04/2020 19:23

@lemontreebird I assume because he was filming

Elderflower14 · 03/04/2020 21:25

My Mum's just reminded me of her visitor... About 20 years ago she lived in a large farmhouse. There was a dining room which was rarely used. One morning Mum heard a lot of bird noise and commotion coming from the garden.. She walked round trying to locate what was going on. She came round the side of the house where the DR was and there was lots of birds circling and squawking and when she looked at the window there was an owl with big eyes sitting on the windowsill staring back at her... 😁 😁 😁 😁
It had come down the chimney and she had no idea how long it had been trespassing.. It was apparently very pleased to get out!

Thank you for sharing OP, biggest laugh I’ve had all week!

Shoxfordian · 03/04/2020 21:46

Love it
Our cat used to bring in all sorts of animals from the big field behind our house when I was a kid. She had a last mouse before she died, came in at 6am with it, my Mum spotted her but wasn't quick enough so she was up the stairs and under their bed with it. My dad was woken up by all the lights going on and the shout
"Minty's got a mouse"
"Where?"
"Under the bed!"

I once picked a duck up from the side of the road which had been hit by a car. Decided to drive it to the vet, it was semi playing dead. I wrapped it in a towel and put it on my knee. As I was driving along at 60mph it suddenly exploded out the towel, and spreadeagled itself with his wings out pressed up against the windscreen!
