Llandudno has been taken over by goats!

The lack of humans, traffic and noise has made some of the mountain goats who usually live on the Great Orme come down into the town do a bit of exploring! They are in peoples gardens, on walls, in the church yard, in the empty hotel gardens eating the hedges and one has even climbed on someone's roof!

Nice to know that some are having fun during the lockdown!

I saw that in the Guardian earlier. Similar story about wildlife, possibly wild boar, in Italy or Spain.

It's not the first time they've come into town. I went to school in Llandudno over 40 years ago. One of my schools backed onto the Great Orme. Goats in the school grounds was not an unusual site.

Just listening to a man from Llandudno talking about this on Irish radio.

Wild goats often walk down to villages in Snowdonia. Sheep are in abundance on the commons and often sleep in peoples gardens along with their lambs. Not all sheep lamb in sheds. Many do without intervention on mountains. So its not worth buying nice plants and flowers!

I'd sent this to my son this morning. So funny to see them in the day in town. They usually come down a eat gardens in the early hours then dissapear when the town wakes up.
I went to grocery shop there Monday, the seagulls are looking desperate and are getting a bit to aggresive in Aldi car park, so watch out if your are local. Don't drop anything you could lose a limb.
