Little reasons to be cheerful

Not sure if this has been done recently? I just had a look and couldnt see anything sorry if i missed one!

I was inspired by chat on a thread 😊

So for me:
With the nice weather i have been hanging out the washing so not only have i got on top of it bur it smells nice

My toddler is finally into Disney!! (I love Disney 😊) so we are still slowly going through the films (we watch each about four times a day 🤦‍♀️) but its better than hey dugee/bing etc so i will take it!

We are slowly organising the house so it looks tidier than it has in months!

I found two series that i have been wanting to rewatch for ages on 5on demand (or what ever its called) so im slowly making my through them

Anyone else?

The sunshine is lovely and like you WaddiMiss I can put my washing out - so it saves electricity.

We live near woods so managed to go for a tranquil walk this morning on my own.

Eventually persuaded Mum and Dad to stay in.

I have other stuff to be miserable about (like everyone else), but trying to stay chipper.

I think everyone’s house is going to be cleaner after all this - mine included - as ling as (useless) husband doesn’t do any DIY we will be fine.

Hope you are OK WaddiMiss

JaneyGotAGun · 23/03/2020 12:58

I came on to say I've also just hung a wash out on the line!

I'm now about to go for a nap with my toddler, bliss

sonjadog · 23/03/2020 13:06

That it is spring. The days are getting longer and warmer and I hope that in a few weeks I can potter about the garden.

MrsDoylesTeaBags · 23/03/2020 13:13

Have just got out of the office for a lovely lunchtime walk. What a beautiful day

SamVimesFavouriteDragon · 23/03/2020 13:27

I came to say laundry as well 😂
My little boy has just started pulling up and cruising in this last week and it's made him so happy
I'm suddenly really aware of so many things I have that I've been taking for granted lately

WaddiMiss · 23/03/2020 13:52

Haha i am glad im not the only one who thought of laundry 😂

Ilove i am good thank you hope you are? 😂 oh dear mrilove step away from the diy!

Janey naps and snuggles with the toddlers are the best!

MrsDoyles i hope your ok being at work

Dragon its amazing when they start doing that isnt it? Until they are running around causing carnage that is 😂

Im glad the weather seems to be nice for most people and that you can get out on walks 😊 i am always so ready for spring when it comes.

I also forgot to put that i managed to get a loaf of bread today as had run out a few days ago so was excited to have bread again 😂 and i may have brought some easter chocolate to eat now!

My house was tidy when i posted, the toddler has emptied his toy box so he could get into it and sit and watch the tv🤦‍♀️ it is entertaining watching him though!

The sun is out so I have laundry blowing on the new line I've put up (now I know how to get it to stay put Grin.

The house is properly clean and tidy for the first time in ages rather than a rush job between work & picking up dd2.

I'm looking forward to sorting the garden out too :)

LeaveTheBottle · 23/03/2020 16:27

So washing on the line is proving very popular. I'll try and think of another ...... Grin

LeaveTheBottle · 23/03/2020 16:31

Ah yes, so my DD (13) is actually getting on really well so far with homeschooling. Have had minimal sass and she seems to be enjoying it Shock

I should point out that she's already been doing this for a week. I still may be celebrating too early, but it's not like we're on day one Grin

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2020 16:31

It’s so sunny and nearly daylight savings

Terralee · 23/03/2020 16:38

My neighbours kitty has been pestering me while I tried to clean by chewing the duster & sitting on the clean disinfected areas... here he is he's so sweet

Little reasons to be cheerful
EggbertHeartsTina · 23/03/2020 16:42
  1. Disney+ launches tomorrow
  2. Went for a run in the sun and stayed far from other people
  3. We have nappies
  4. We have wine
  5. Roast chicken in oven
MagnoliaJustice · 23/03/2020 16:46

Seeing the blossom on my cherry tree makes me smile and lifts my spirits. Feeling the sun on my face and being resolutely optimistic that this crazy change of lifestyle will be over soon.

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2020 16:47

The blossom here too. The garden is prettier than its ever been. That and the sunshine.

WaddiMiss · 23/03/2020 16:48

Yey lots of lovely cheerful reasons 😊

Gorgeous cat picture 😍

I managed to get an asda slot! Granted its for two weeks but ill take it! We dont have a car and usually use public transport to go aldi but thats not a great idea right now and the local coop is handy but expensive with a small range so online it is!

I saw a peacock butterfly basking on a wall in the sunshine this morning.

UnalliterativeGeorge · 23/03/2020 16:49

DH has an interview on Wednesday (assuming the technology works!)

I have read 3 books in the last few days.

I found hidden chocolate I'd forgotten all about.

My lovely aunt is collecting my click and collect food shop on Wednesday as we're stuck inside. Hopefully it'll have the wine in it!

Purplecatshopaholic · 23/03/2020 16:54

Pets are all snoozing and happy, and my laundry is all clean and smelling so lovely.

JMAngel1 · 23/03/2020 17:03

I'm just really enjoying a slower pace of life and feel like it's a reversion back to my own childhood for my daughters - simple things like playing cards, drawing, painting, baking, reading.
I've also decluttered most of downstairs and targetting upstairs tomorrow - I may even tackle, whisper it, the loft!!
I'm even enjoying homeschooling - who knew!
Gorgeous day today - blossoms are blooming. I'm attempting gardening for the first time ever, I just put hydrangea seeds in little pots with the girls - excited to see if they grow.
The school day is over so I'm allowing myself a cappuccino and my tablet.
We may watch A Dogs Journey on Prime tonight after dinner again although I'm not sure we have enough tissues!
We may come out if all this stronger and happier - way too much rushing around before.

InsertRandomWordsHere · 23/03/2020 17:05

Well now I am working from home I am saving about £5 a day on fuel.

My husband is at home too and it's nice to spend time with him.

MarshaBradyo · 23/03/2020 17:06

I like the pace too. I want to get through it all first but I love the decrease in buying stuff.

Shodan · 23/03/2020 17:27

I don't have to get up at 7.15 every morning Blush I am not a morning person Grin

Adult ds1 and 12 year old ds2 are being helpful in the house and garden ( more so than usual)

And sun! Not rain! SUN!

Andahelterskelterroundmylittle · 23/03/2020 17:51

Candy Crush gave just given us unlimited lives for 24 hours

ThePolishWombat · 23/03/2020 17:57

Just had a huge fruit and veg box delivered from our local farm shop as we are in isolation as a family.
All the stuff I was expecting was in there, but they’d also put a pretty little pot plant in with a note “a little something to make you smile” Smile
It had the desired effect Grin
