Eggs Blush
There was a little miscommunication so we have 4 boxes of eggs. We will use them but that doesn't stop me feeling guilty.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 22/03/2020 20:13

We’ve not had loo roll for a week so having to change our ways😃

TheNestedIf · 22/03/2020 20:18

Wine. I brew it myself but haven't been particularly well this past year so haven't been drinking it. There is, literally, gallons and gallons of the stuff. I'm planning on sanitising from the inside out.

Fatted · 22/03/2020 20:18

Thankfully we have enough of most things to last.

We also have lots of eggs after a mix up! DH has also decided to buy two crates of fosters so my fridge is full of booze.

After a mix up with my Iceland order, I also now have about one million Brussels sprouts in my freezer. And I'm the only one who eats them.

Hovverry · 22/03/2020 20:25

Pet food. I ‘m scared of running out. The humans could live off baked beans or toast for weeks but what would we feed our fussy cats? Mine is currently on one flavour of one brand and refuses anything else.

MamaWeasel · 22/03/2020 20:28

Loads of..... Eggs after a mix up Blush and soap which i have a weakness for
Adequate...... Most things
Scarce....... Flour, passata, rice

Selfsettling3 · 22/03/2020 20:30

Enough nappies - always stick up when on special offer.

Need - yeast, both children are allergic to milk and soya. As I’m bf all 3 us need milk and soya free bread. I can’t find any anywhere.

NonUrinatInVentum · 22/03/2020 20:31

Steak! DH is on Carnivore diet and I didn't realise how much I had. Before we went on lockdown (we're on Swiss French border) I was topping up the freezer with an extra steak here and there. We've got a full cow in the freezer ATM!

bluebellation · 22/03/2020 20:33

Loads of wine, after a delivery on Friday!
Short of lentils as,weirdly, they seem to be one of the things the shops here are lacking.

YeahYou · 22/03/2020 20:37

Can’t get eggs, kefir, certain chocolate, kitchen wipes!

GlendaSugarbeanIsJudgingYou · 22/03/2020 20:42

I have loads of orange and apple juice for some reason.

Enough of most things after my shop delivery yesterday. I was expecting Asda to have nothing but it turned out fine.

Zero bloody pasta, though.

UnitedRoad · 22/03/2020 20:43

Loads of soap and shower gel. Hundreds of books, because I have a real phobia of having nothing to read, so I buy way too many

No bread, very little toilet roll, and I’d be happier if we had some more cat food. He’s so fussy.

BonnesVacances · 22/03/2020 20:54

Rice. 10kg of it.
And we seem to have collected plenty of paracetamol over a very long time.

Only 2 rolls of toilet paper left though.
And one box of lasagne and 500g of linguine.

I'm sure we'll be fine.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 22/03/2020 21:16

We have enough pasta and sauces. We have plenty of spices, herbs, stock pots and flavouring sachets for stews etc. I have plenty of tampons.

We have some tins and cans and frozen ready meals. We have some frozen veg and meat. We have enough milk and loo roll. We have enough boxes of cereal. We have enough paracetamol, calpol plugins, antihistamine, ramipril and citalopram. We also have enough vitamins tablets.

We're running low on snacks, yoghurts and bread.

We started stocking up last year with the threat of a no-deal brexit hanging over us and we've just kept adding to it.

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/03/2020 21:32

Lots of paracetamol - I brought two tubs of 500 back from the US with me.

No rice or pasta. And I can now completely understand panic-buyer mentality: I can’t remember the last time I ate rice or pasta, but today I suddenly wondered if I needed to get some and started looking for it online, even though I’d be unlikely to actually eat it.

skankingpiglet · 22/03/2020 21:47

We've got enough of everything except tinned pulses, thanks to last year's Brexit prepping (and stock rotation since). We eat quite a few tins of pulses a week normally as eat little meat. This week I managed to get 1 tin of black beans (between four of us!). DH walked to the village butcher's yesterday to make up the protein deficit!

We will need toilet paper within a few weeks though. I stock up in Costco two or three times a year and was just beginning to think it was time to top up when this craziness happened. We still have a fair few, but the DCs are not careful with their useage 😫 I am hoping we can ride it out and by the time our supply gets really low the stores will be properly stocked again.

wellhellohi · 22/03/2020 21:58

OP There has been a warning out about using brufen with covid 19. It makes the symptoms much worse.

Pipandmum · 22/03/2020 22:06

Pasta as I always have a good supply, pet food as I bulk buy.
I'm short of bread. Now my kids off school I need to get more for their lunches. All the smaller stores are fairly well stocked and I've seen toilet paper in every shop. Fresh meat (particularly chicken) also scarce but again farm shops.
I tend to buy things on offer I know I will use eventually. So have plenty of soap, toothpaste, sanitary items.

TreacherousPissFlap · 22/03/2020 22:07

Glad I'm not the only one guilty of egg hoarding. I'm sure between us we're not the sole cause of the problem BlushWink

ComtesseDeSpair · 22/03/2020 23:13

I just did a stocktake of my tins / jars / packets cupboard and found six large Christmas puddings which I bought in the Sainsbury’s sale for £1 each right after Christmas and had forgotten about. I don’t particularly like Christmas pudding but was too tempted by the £1 bargain bit, wondering how desperate things will have to get before I break into them.

Doingtheboxerbeat · 23/03/2020 02:51

I'm struggling to get tin/sun-dried tomatoe and pesto. Haven't run out yet but soon will.

Frownette · 23/03/2020 03:10

Loads
Paracetamol
Dettol spray for handles
Fresh fruit and vegetables
3 loo rolls (I don't get through it fast)
Sweet snax and nuts
Herbal tea
Supplements
Fresh pasta
Rice
Soap
Shampoo

Scarce
Bleach (need new bottle)
Quorn products
Cheese

Clementine8 · 23/03/2020 04:22

Loads:
Meat, freezer is always stocked
Flour, Butter and Sugar, I bake a lot and always have a supply in

Short of:
Loo roll
Bread
Tuna
Bleach
Veg or anything to go with the meat

I’m avoiding the shops at the moment because I’m high risk so I’m having inventive meals

baffledbat · 23/03/2020 04:28

We have no flour which is a pain.

baffledbat · 23/03/2020 04:29

After a mix up with my Iceland order, I also now have about one million Brussels sprouts in my freezer. And I'm the only one who eats them

I hope you have enough toilet paper and Febreze.
