What did you do this mother's day?

Work.
Not long home.

Breakfast in bed.

Then I cooked dinner as dh had to work and I played ok the garden with dc.

Fed the ducks at the back of the house

Now I’m ok the couch with my feet up.

Uneventful day is a bonus in this house

I broke my big toe falling down a manhole cover whilst washing the windows in the garden.

I've had better days to be honest 😂

Sunday lunch.
Played Scrabble and ate chocolate..
Cheese and crackers and a bottle of bubbly for later..

Made myself a cake. Ate a lot of it. Watched Raised by Wolves and played with the baby. It's been nice.

Tried to get ahead on work while I had an extra adult in the house, and before I have to juggle it with childcare tomorrow.

I've had a nice day, face timed my DD , mum and husband's nan, had a couple of presents and cards, cooked a Sunday lunch, Baked cakes with my sons, played cards, drank a bottle of mothers day wine and now chilling watching mogli.
Back to work tomorrow, so will see what that brings

My children have been staying at their dads because we had symptoms (they were already there). They came and spoke through the window today and left gifts I’m really missing them.

First one ever for me! Got a card "from the baby" and an hour to have a bath all by myself, then a lovely walk w DH, DD, a fladk of coffee and some biscuits, then a BBQ in the garden (wrapped up super warm) and now about to have a roast pork dinner and a B99 marathon. Absolutely perfect day.

Stayed in bed with DS2 watching films as we're both feeling really grotty.

DP started with the same symptoms a week ago so we all self isolated- we will be celebrating tomorrow when DP is officially out of his 7-day isolation and able to go and do a food shop for us all!

My girls (teens) had made sure they had cards and presents for me. I got breakfast in bed. DH mowed the lawns, and I weeded the gardens. And now he's making us a lovely dinner.

I feel truly loved and appreciated. (There is no hashtag here. . .)

Had card and chocolates from my 4 year old. A card and scan photo in a frame from the bump!
Pretty much normal day albeit spent indoors, dh cooked me a roast and is now doing the bedtime routine whilst I drink tea and eat chocolates!

3:52 am cate woke me up
5:52am cat woke me up, having been chucked outside for puking last night. Fed cat... Talked to DS up for paper round.
6:15am cat puking again. Cleaning up loads of mess

7:50pm cat on my lap after puking on & off all day & now he's making funny noises, his tummy is rumbling, something wrong poor guy. He's not suffering but he'll puke again soon. I suspect he's got some kind of intestinal block. Expensive vet bill in my near future. :(

Opened my card and then nothing special! We normally go out somewhere but for obvious reasons we couldn't. Instead I tidied the garden and Hoovered the house.

DH and DC did all the cleaning. I did some laundry and ironing, even though they told me not to, because I was bored.

FaceTimed my DGM since we couldn't go to visit ☹️

Baked a cake with the DC. Made a roast dinner. We're slowly making our way through the recordings we have on sky as we're self isolating due to DS4 having symptoms. Some of them we've had recorded since August 2018 🙈. So we watched Johnny English, Lego movie 2 and Marty poppins returns. DH is now putting the DC to bed and then we're going to watch oceans 8.

Woke up to a lovely cooked breakfast in bed with bucks fizz. Unfortunately it was delivered by two grumpy pre-teens and a furious DH. We got over that unpleasantness and went to see my mum. Handed over presents in the back garden 2 metres apart.

Was planning on driving to the coast in Cornwall but decided against it due to crowds. Went for a lovely cycle ride locally.

Apart from the 5 minutes spent on cards/presents, the day has been just like a normal one - up early, a walk (social distancing), cooking, cleaning, washing and bickering children. Lord give me strength for however long this goes on for!

Opened lovely presents, new Tshirt, new Smash the Patriarchy Mug, new detachable shopping basket for my bike. Then ate a nice breakfast cooked by DH&DD, drove to my mum's, dropped a fruit basket & flowers outside then spoke to her on her balcony. Went home and watched Shaun of the Dead as research with all DC , drank some wine, sat in my garden, ate lunch cooked by DH & DS1.
Currently mumsnetting and reading in bed, girding my loins for work tomorrow. I'm only going in to pick up my computer & files but I love my job & most of my colleagues and am not looking forward to signing out for 12 weeks.

Toast and coffee in bed, DD sang me a song, and insisted that she opened my cards.

We did a bit of gardening, tidied up the garage, did some washing, cooked a roast and its been a thoroughly lovely day.

Neither of my adult children here today and not seeing my Mum either ☹️

Woke up, had a card from DS1, had chocs & M&S gift card from DS2.

Had a bit of a rant at DH because he insisted on visiting his mother. Idiot. 🙄

Went for a walk, saw nobody - great! 😃

Came home, had another rant, this time about BIL visiting MIL. Idiot. 🙄

Ate some food and now on MN.

Not a horrible day but missed seeing my DSs.

Played 2 rounds of Pandemic ☺️ with my family and did some DIY.

I drove over and visited my elderly mum, taking her some essentials.

Thankfully it was a nice day, the sun was warm and her backdoor is sheltered. I came in through the back gate, she sat in the kitchen on a chair inside with the backdoor open and I sat outside on a bench about 4 metres away and we had a chat while I drank my travel mug of hot chocolate I had brought with me.

Social isolation for 12 weeks ahead for her, really wanted to hug her. She needs to go to hospital 3 times a week on hospital transport, I'm terrified she will catch it there and we won't see her again.

She is deaf as a post so the whole neighbourhood would have heard the entire shouted conversation. 🙉

Came home and dh made dinner.

We drove to a tiny cove we found one time, fully intending to turn back if anyone else was there (never seen a soul there ever).

We were the only ones there. Thank goodness. We had a disposable bbq and sausages and saw a massive dead cod washed up on the shore.

Dd did "gymnastic routines" which were hilarious and ds dug a hole. There was a post in the ground which we used as a sundial and added sticks at the point of the shadow every 30 mins so we could show the kids how they worked.

It was the most magical day and probably the last day at the beach til September.

Spent last night in hospital with my 1 year old. Discharged about 4pm today and came home to my 5 year old bouncing off the walls because her and daddy had put up happy Mother's Day banners and we're waiting for me to open my presents. Also received about 15 homemade cards as she'd been waiting for me to get back all day.

Also FaceTimed my mum. Who I couldn't go see and got a little sad.
