So what are your plans for Mother’s Day?

We haven’t been able to go out since last Friday (13th) when I had to isolate due to symptoms and then of course the whole family did.

So dh has not been able to go out and get anything for tomorrow.

Dd has helpfully come to me and told me that her and ds has made some cards and then made and painted some flowers and pictures for me

Nice and simple. Not my usual stuff, but at this point, it’s nice to get anything at all. Especially if it’s made with love cheesey

No one else have any plans?

I dropped some things off for my mum and the DCs saw her through the window due to her being vulnerable and self isolating. Got a bit teary, but it's for the best.

Tomorrow hopefully a walk on the beach and make cakes. Don't feel like doing much

Going my mums to dismantle a trampoline to bring to my new house then set back up ready for when the kids need to burn some energy in the next few weeks. Only time can get the help todo it.

I don’t really “do” Mother’s Day day normally anyway. I believe a card was made at school so not different to normal.

No plans. My mum will be on her own which is making us all sad. I'd like tea and toast in bed.

Nothing. Kids never got to make me cards at school, and I think they've forgotten.
I've already seen my mum and given her her card and present.

We will have Sunday lunch (like normal) and stay in (not that normal) and I’m expecting nothing else.

When we were in Tesco earlier we got some cakes and scones so dd and I are going to make our own afternoon tea ☕️ 🧁

Special breakfast with cards and gifts (I have an inkling that gin is involved...I hope so!) then family bike ride on our quiet roads.

I bought myself some Lindor the other afternoon . Will be 'self isolating' with them in bed tomorrow. DH got me some flowers last night on his way home.

That is about it. I bought some potatoes today to do a roast dinner. I might get a domino's instead.

Trying not to be weepy. Daft isn't it, my birthday was this week and no one can visit, mothers day and no one can visit. Never mind I think I have a lamb shank somewhere and will cook myself a little roast.

Well it's to be a really nice day here tomorrow, so I think I'll take the dog out to somewhere nice and isolated ( which I usually do anyway, because I like to be alone). Tidy the garden and get as many washings done as possible, because I love the smell of washing hung outside.

Dm and mil are both self isolating. I've ordered them flowers to be delivered, but we are going to go over tomorrow and chalk their paths with messages, pics etc then wave through the window.

As for me, meh, I got some bacon in the hope of a sarnie in bed.

Waking up in the hospital with my son. Then hopefully (everything crossed) going home to a big cuddle with my daughter

I was with my mum today as i care for her one night and day a week. I left her in some of her favourite treats. Tomorrow my dc are going to 'surprise' me with breakfast in bed, then we are going to walk to my mums and see her through the window. My mil lives just a couple of minutes walk from my mum so we will go there next and do the same with her. Its at times like this that we realise how lucky we are to all live so close to each other.

We posted mother's day cards to dm and dmil earlier in the week. Tomorrow I will get up early for the NHS shopping slot at Tescos and will drop food off for dm, but won't see her. Hoping to get some chocs or a similar treat to add to what she's asked for. We will Skype dmil and call dm so they can speak to the kids.

I won’t be seeing DM as she lives 200 miles away but have sent her a card and will FaceTime with her and will call my two grandmothers.
We are going to go to meet PILs somewhere outdoors where we can keep our distance but still spend some time together.

We are having a wee picnic tea in the house - we bought some cold meat and salad during the week and my husband is going to make some bread. It was my birthday the other week so still have some Prosecco 🍾🍾 Have sent flowers/cards to my mum and MIL as one lives in Scotland and the other London so we were never going to see them but will call them tomorrow 😉 Wishing those who have birthdays this week/next week many happy returns even if you can’t spend it with friends and family 🍰🍾

I usually try to forget I have 2 adult dc who ignore me since I re married 17 years ago. At least this year it wont only be me not getting flowers, or a visit etc.
Try not to bother too much about the day, it's the other 364 that matter.

My dp is useless for mothers day. He always buys me something for my birthday, valentines day and Christmas but not for mothers day. Mothers day is the one I would actually like something for, a bit of recognition that I am doing ok with the kids.
Regardless of dp being useless when it comes to this, I always make a fuss of special days because Im hoping when the DC have a wife and kids, he will at least get a card for his wife and make her feel special.
Ds is 6 now and knew mothers day was this week. On Friday he went off on his own and made me a present. I dont know what it is, but hes said I have to wake up at 6 in the morning so he can do it for me???
He also decided we should have a lovely breakfast in the morning and make a cake with pink and purple decorations.

I made a chocolate cake today and will make scones tomorrow so we’re going to have afternoon tea. It’s what I want and the only way I’m going to get it! It’s been keeping me going this week!

We are social distancing so instead of going out. I'll do a work out in the park (not my usual gym) and then head home so dh can exercise then me and the kids will bake a cake and I'll cook a roast.

Would have preferred a meal out but I can wait.
