We haven’t been able to go out since last Friday (13th) when I had to isolate due to symptoms and then of course the whole family did.

So dh has not been able to go out and get anything for tomorrow.

Dd has helpfully come to me and told me that her and ds has made some cards and then made and painted some flowers and pictures for me GrinGrin

Nice and simple. Not my usual stuff, but at this point, it’s nice to get anything at all. Especially if it’s made with love cheesey

My two are driving to a car park
Taking own coffee
And will just shout hello to each other then leave

Coffee in bed. My DD’s made cards and eldest who had been booted out of school last week went on her own to get me chocs from our village. Youngest had help to buy a little box. Sadly don’t have my DM anymore MIL has had card until we can see her and treat her to something.
I’m going a walk in my favourite woods shortly that my DM also loved so it’s like a little communion with her. Will see no one else unless the world and his wife have discovered them.
Just can’t believe the amount of people at our local beauty spot hoards of them! Probably all thinking it’s ok it’s just my family going out together that’s fine but there are 50 other families there!

Home baked cinnamon swirls in bed with a coffee

Curry coming later

Playing Taskmaster later with copious wine.

Dd made me breakfast in bed. I'm going to go for a walk, bake a cake, and supervise the dc cleaning the car (a car clean bring my Mother's Day present).

I have a card and flowers for both our mums, will drop them off to them and mum and I are going a Walk in the countryside, keeping our distance from each other, dh needs to go and see his mum, she is vulnerable but due to being home alone is very mixed up and confused so she needs one visitor each day.

As for me I’m happy, kids have bought me a litre of pink gin and some lemonade , perfect afternoon for me!

DH is at work for another 3.5 hours. I got up and made my own coffee. DD1 gave me a hug. I haven't seen DD2 yet as she's playing in her room still.

My son made me breakfast in bed (eggs and bacon, toast and tea). Not sure how he's left the kitchen though! My daughter and I will walk the dogs later - not particularly Mother's Day activity but I think she's only coming because it is Mothers Day. Its unusual to have both kids at home so that's a bonus right there!
My birthday next week and cancelled the dinner party (it actually never got off the ground).

I feel sad at not being able to see my mum. I sent her a card and a little gift and will FaceTime later.

I got a moonpig card from DS made by DH. Sweet but if I'm honest, I'd have preferred a homemade one that he'd got DS to do.
Apart from that it's just life in isolation as usual...

PenguinsOnParade · 22/03/2020 18:18

Well DH obviously had words with the kids via text as they both vanished for a while to come back with homemade cards for me. They've also been making me coffees and washing the dishes.

He got home from work and gave me a card and gifts from the dogs (a bottle of Irn Bru 1901 and a jar of coconut oil because I make my own hand moisturising treatments with it and he says there wasn't anything else left in Home Bargains that he thought I could use.) The DC then both gave me a gift bag with a bottle of Prosecco in it.
