Just been to Tesco's, and the wine isle is bare....Except for chardonnay...Ugh(first world problems). As a very good friend said, 'shit just got real '.

I sent my hubby out to get some today whilst I'm at work as I could see this coming once the pubs closed, it's actually the first time I panicked shopped 😂

No tonic water in Sainsbury's

So we'll be drinking prosecco instead

Craft gin box - you name it, I’d find a subscription scheme, could be a long haul with schools!

Ps a lot of the small wine shops near us are doing deliveries now.

Do you any independent local wine shops and pubs? They may well offer delivery now could certainly do with the support now they can't open.

I drink chardonnay as its the only thing i can drink without it tasting rank due to fecked up.taste buds (thanks medication) and most other wines give me a headache anyway.

Virgin wines still has cases less than £199 - they’re pretty good ime. Just helps with child related perspective!

I was classy and bought a box of Merlot yesterday in Morrison’s I must have known it would be sold out today and dh mocked me last night.

Husband asked me to buy some birra moretti last week. He couldn't believe it when I said there was NO BEER in our big Sainsbury's 😂

Plenty of beer, wine and food in our local Aldi yesterday. The only things they appeared to have run out of were paracetamol and flour (of any kind). Mind you, I did get there at opening time!

Nahhh all of our local shops had plenty of wine in...no need to panic!

We have a reasonable stash as my husband does a large order every so often from Majestic plus we order from Sharpham and Nyetimber.
The risk for us is open something every evening. It would be all too easy for our consumption to increase significantly.
I suspect the GPs may see an increase in alcohol related problems shortly.

I shall panic! Panic is required
