Unexpected money, what to buy?

So I was clearing out my wallet and found some zloty from when I used to travel to Poland with work. I've changed my job so converted it back to gbp. I've got 45 pounds, what to buy?
I'm not into makeup or perfume or anything like that. I'm hopeless at treating myself to anything.

itbemay1 · 11/03/2020 19:21

sorryiasked · 11/03/2020 19:22

Magazine subscription

Lllot5 · 11/03/2020 19:24

Books. Pjs, expensive coffee
I could do with some more plates. But that’s no help. 😀

RedRosie · 11/03/2020 19:25

Can I be the first to say toilet roll?

Only joking. Not that. Something else! Grin

mynamesmrdiggety · 11/03/2020 19:25

A new dress from sea salt or somewhere that would last. Or some really nice food in M&S.

SummerHouse · 11/03/2020 19:26

I would get a fluffy blanket, hot water bottle, pringles dips and the Downton abbey film dvd. Heaven.

Babbabump · 11/03/2020 19:30

I'd get a neom candle or hand cream - they're all lovely !!

Nice underwear?

Spa afternoon?

Ivegotnothing · 11/03/2020 19:35

I would be straight on to amazon to get some books, nice sweets (dobsons lollies or something chocolatey) and a new tin of steam cream in a pretty tin! Enjoy!

Itwasntme1 · 11/03/2020 19:58

A Goos bottle of wine And a book.

mambanumber5 · 11/03/2020 20:29

I would keep it until I saw something I really wanted and wouldn't normally be able to justify.

Same. No point spending it for the sake of it. Wait until you see something you love.

YakkityYakYakYak · 11/03/2020 20:39

But it you do really want to spend it buy some Jo Malone perfume.

Spied · 11/03/2020 20:41

Put towards a nice jacket for spring?
Maybe something a bit pricier that you love and wouldn't usually buy.

Timetogiveupnow · 12/03/2020 11:41

Thanks for all the great ideas. I think I will wait to see what I want (not need) then I can guilt free treat myself.

A race entry - a half marathon somewhere near by.

Happygirl79 · 12/03/2020 14:35

If you really can't think of anything you want why not put it aside until you do want something in particular?
There's no rush to spend it immediately surely

user1493494961 · 12/03/2020 14:43

Why do you have to buy something immediately?

pussycatinboots · 12/03/2020 16:51

Toilet Roll, Soap, Dried Pasta?
Grin

Blackdog19 · 12/03/2020 16:52

Grin pussycat

Maythelordopen1 · 12/03/2020 16:54

I never understand this question, if you don’t know then it really means that you don’t need or want for something so surely you just save it until you do Confused

merryhouse · 12/03/2020 17:01

Do you not have a budget at all?

Takemebackto · 12/03/2020 18:09

I would keep it until you find something you want to treat yourself to.

Timetogiveupnow · 13/03/2020 04:19

Merryhouse, I don't understand the question? It was extra money so instead of it getting spent on normal household expenses it would be nice to have a treat.
I think that I asked because I never treat myself at all, I only buy wants needed and don't get myself anything fun so am completely out of ideas. My idea of a treat is soup from the cafe near work rather then a packet soup.
