Do you and DH/DP still have both parents? How old are you?

Inspired by the equally morbid thread about grandparents, it made me think about parents. Both DH and I have both parents living. I am almost 52 and DH will be 56 in a few months. All parents are in their mid to late 70s. We fear that at some point we will have a terrible year when we lose them all.

Yes we do. I am 40, my parents are 67 and 69 and in good health. Dh is 48, his parents are 75 and 73, one reasonably healthy, the other not so much. I also have 2 living grandparents! One is 98 and one is 97.

I'm 39. Adoptive mother and father are still alive; both 74 this year. Birth mother 58.

DH is 29. His mum is still with us, and is 73 this year. His father died in 2015 in his late 60s.

I'm 35 and I only have my mum left, my dad died three years ago at 85. My DH is 40 and still has both parents. We don't have any grandparents between us though, my last grandparent died when I was 16, and his last one died when he was 30.

I'm mid sixties, both parents alive and well. I go round to referee! My husband in his late sixties has his mum alive. She lives alone but requires a lot of support.

I mentioned it on the grandparents thread but I lost my mother at age 10 and my father at age 40.

My husband is the same age as me and he still has both his parents. I'll admit that I'm a bit jealous of him but I'm happy they're still around.
