I've been reduced to a blubbering wreck in Sainsbury's

Went to get some shopping, DS1 (10) asked for his wallet which has his pocket money in and disappeared to the checkout. When I caught up with him he presented me with these beauties and said they were 'for being the best mummy ever'.

That’s adorable! Bless his heart

Billyeyelash · 08/03/2020 17:28

Treasure it. That's gorgeous of him.

I say bitterly with a 15 Yr old who is spending today telling me how I only exist to spoil his life 😁🙄

madmumofteens · 08/03/2020 17:32

What is that emoji meant to represent, PeterPanGoesWrong?

I hope it was meant to indicate your comment was a joke, otherwise it shows you up as a spiteful bitch.

Permenantlyexhaustedpidgeon · 08/03/2020 17:50

how bloody lovely Flowers

GameSetMatch · 08/03/2020 17:51

That’s very kind, you have produced a lovely thoughtful son!

LooksBetterWithAFilter · 08/03/2020 17:53

Aww lovely. I remember a few years ago my no teenage ds did the same. He went to the local shop with his wallet and came back with a bunch of flowers for me.
Doesn’t do it now though any money goes to his gaming.

Mummyneedsginnow · 08/03/2020 17:57

My son had £2 money to get him a treat to share with some friends at school, he came home with a box of celebrations for me, made me tear up

Shinycat · 08/03/2020 18:00

@MyGhastIsFlabbered

That's bloody lovely. Smile

Your wee boy will make some lucky woman a great husband one day, and he'll be a great dad too!

You must be a fab mum! Grin

Louise91417 · 08/03/2020 18:04

Awk..doesnt that just make it all worth whileWink

portico · 08/03/2020 18:07

You have a lovely boy. It’s a nice article to read. Halo

LyndaSnellsSniff · 08/03/2020 18:08

My DS went away for a week with a friend and his mum. He bought me 2 lovely prints out of his spending money. He’s a gorgeous boy and always so kind. Whenever I’m feeling like a crap mum I look at him and think we must have done something right.

OP your DS is a treasure. Though part of me hopes he’s kept something back for Mother’s Day!!

Skyejuly · 08/03/2020 18:13

Very sweet!

Billyeyelash · 08/03/2020 18:14

Ah bog off Peter Pan, I like it when people celebrate the good stuff. There's hundreds of other threads with unhappiness, read them.

butterpuffed · 08/03/2020 18:17

Aw how lovely , you have a son to be proud of .

AllPointsNorth · 08/03/2020 18:17

That’s a spiteful little snipe, PeterPan.
You have a lovely child, OP. There are a lot of them around, and they need appreciating!

Lipz · 08/03/2020 18:17

Omg how sweet, brought a tear to my eye. You must be so proud and what a thoughtful, kind thing your son did.

SingingSands · 08/03/2020 18:17

Ahh, that's lovely OP! What a lovely gesture.

It's nice to be appreciated, we all know our kids love us, but sometimes it's nice for them to show it, unprompted! Enjoy your lovely flowers, they'll make you smile every time you look at them.

FromTheAllotment · 08/03/2020 18:20

Awwwww ❤️ Lovely OP, that’s made me smile!

Butterwhy · 08/03/2020 18:22

@PeterPanGoesWrong some salt for that chip on your shoulder? It's sad that people can't talk about positive things without being accused of showing off or something. Really sad. .

That's lovely OP, maybe press one so you can keep it :)

FourDecades · 08/03/2020 18:23

I took PeterPan comments in jest as here was a tongue sticking out emoji there

ivfbabymomma1 · 08/03/2020 18:24

Sitting here hoping my almost 8 month old grows up to love & appreciate me like this! What a lovely son you have raised!!!
