Could you get a fringe cut in first thing tomorrow morning Grin

TheGinGenie · 02/03/2020 19:11

Magnesium sulphate?

HaddawayAndShite · 02/03/2020 19:14

Concealer and confidence. They’re judging your abilities not your skin! Good Luck.

I get these and probably do what you're not meant to, but it deflates it quicker.

Insert sterilised needle to pierce it, then squeeze. I then put savlon on. Yes it will still be there but will be less obvious and painful.

Good luck for the interview

JhustJenny · 02/03/2020 19:15

Oh ahaha a Balaclava perhaps?!

Where do I get magnesium sulphate? Is that Epsom salts?! I have 2kgs of that (I’m a runner!)

Thanks @HaddawayAndShite I’m well prepped for the interview but my skin is making me feel scabby! Typical bloody hormonal timing!!

Yes it’s Epsom salts. Mix into a paste.

mnthrowaway202020 · 02/03/2020 19:20

Lance it with a sterilised needle then stick a blister plaster on

mnthrowaway202020 · 02/03/2020 19:22

Actually tbh don’t do that, I was thinking a of a spot vs actual acne

GinnyStrupac · 02/03/2020 19:23

Your friend is Freederm Fast Track Spot Gel. Many major chemists and supermarkets stock it, if you can get to a late opening one - phone ahead first to make sure they've got it.

CassidyStone · 02/03/2020 19:23

Another vote for lancing it if it's got a head on it. Squeeze the pus out, cover it with a plaster overnight. Tomorrow, concealer and a fringe.

Good luck for the interview. At least the spot is on your forehead and not the end of your nose, it could be worse Grin

PS: they'll love you in Sporner's Corner, someone will probably volunteer to come round and squeeze it for you...

Mydogatemypurse · 02/03/2020 19:24

Put toothpaste on it. Them concealer in morning. Green colour corrector if you have it x

WickedlyPetite · 02/03/2020 19:24

I'm not sure I'd want to lance anything on my face the night before an interview.

A big spot covered with tonnes of concealer has to be preferable to a scabby, possibly weeping, open sore.

Stressheadme123 · 02/03/2020 19:25

SqueeIng and poking will make it more red or purple and possible with a scab which is way worse looking. Adjust hair and put concealer on it.

Ironmanrocks · 02/03/2020 19:39

sudocrem!!

JhustJenny · 02/03/2020 19:52

I can’t get the Epsom salts to dissolve but I’ve slapped it on anyway with a cotton wool pad and I’m hoping for the best 🤞 going to read over my notes again!

I really feel for you. I had a huge bastard acne spot in the middle of my chin for my first ever proper job interview. Got the job though.

You don’t have time to sort it out today, but get some Duac prescribed by your GP. It really helps.

Pat some face powder onto it with a cotton bud in the morning. And good luck!

AwdBovril · 02/03/2020 19:58

Possibly a bit late now, but the hydrocolloid blister plasters are very good for drawing out & reducing angry spots. Not entirely sure why, though. If you have any, maybe worth putting one on overnight. And definitely concealer & no squeezing before the interview.

Boredoftherain · 02/03/2020 20:03

@AwdBovril I swear by them, they're amazing. I also get the hydrocolloid dots online and you can wear them out and they're not visible, because they're blister plasters they keep your skin moist whilst it heals and the scarring isn't nearly as bad if there at all

MissTheodore · 02/03/2020 20:05

I went for an interview with impetigo all over my nose. Got the job.

bobstersmum · 02/03/2020 20:09

Tea tree oil?

ThunderPython · 02/03/2020 20:12

Right I need pictures and/or (preferably) video of it being squeezed.

PureAlchemy · 02/03/2020 20:14

Could you put a plaster over it as if you’d scraped your head on something?

JhustJenny · 02/03/2020 20:23

@ThunderPython I am not being used as fodder Grin 😆

Ibuprofen might help take the swelling down and pain. Cold compress on it?
