Bedtime for adults in your house at the weekend

Just an honest question.
What time do you (as an adult) go to bed/sleep at the weekend?

OP posts:
Gwenhwyfar · 29/02/2020 09:22

"1/2am
During the week about 10/11pm."

Same. A bit later than during the week.
I don't have a set bedtime though obviously!

Gwenhwyfar · 29/02/2020 09:23

"8:30 to 9."

No social life possible with that then? Or do you have small children and can't go out anyway?

AuntieMarys · 29/02/2020 09:31

gwen we go out early afternoon to eat and drink. Home by 8 avoiding all drunk groups of people.

Pilot12 · 29/02/2020 09:43

Me 10.30/11 pm because I have two under five that wake me up at 6am. DP is midnight/2am.

Frannibananni · 29/02/2020 09:43

7:40pm for my husband tonight and tbh I’m a bit jealous. even the kids took themselves to bed at 7:30 - we had planned a movie night but all too tired.

icebearforpresident · 29/02/2020 10:24

Friday and Saturdays are usually my earliest nights to bed 😬 During the week i almost never go to bed before 11pm and rarely sleep before midnight. Friday hits and I’m falling asleep on the couch at 9pm.

BearSoFair · 29/02/2020 10:30

Around 11, same as during the week

Gwenhwyfar · 29/02/2020 11:19

You must be very sensitive.
What would happen if a friend invited you to the pub or a party or to eat out? You wouldn't be able to stay awake?
I am starting to do more lunch/afternoon things myself as I'm getting tired more easily, but I wouldn't want a child's bedtime every day. It must shut you out of so many things.

Pentium85 · 29/02/2020 11:19

11-12

Dowser · 29/02/2020 11:40

Between 12 and 12-30 am

woodencoffeetable · 29/02/2020 11:41

same as every other night - around 11pm (ish)

NotYourHun · 29/02/2020 14:12

I can’t speak for all early bed people but I’ll quite happily go out later for an event or whatever but just like an early night otherwise. I did an on call night shift last night, having been up at 5 yesterday morning and not in bed until midnight (out with friends) the night before. I’m perfectly adaptable and don’t need 8 hours sleep. But I do like it!

BackforGood · 29/02/2020 14:16

(Me) Same as any other night - tends to be after midnight, usually put the light out somewhere between 12.30 and 1am
(dh) Usually around 11
(ds - who is 23) - depends what shifts he is / has been working
(dd - 18) - anytime up to about 6 in the morning, if she's been 'out out' Wink

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 29/02/2020 14:22

I’m normally physically in my bed by around 10. During the week I try to have lights out by 12, but last night I was reading until about 1.20 (although didn’t get to sleep until 3 - ds made me a hot drink around 11.30, and I think he forgot to use the decaf). I do have a rubbish sleep cycle though.

stoplickingthetelly · 29/02/2020 14:27

Around 10ish, the same as in the week. We’ve got young dc who are still up around 6:30am so late nights are just not worth it.

pilates · 29/02/2020 14:33

10.30/11 if I’m staying in, a bit later if we are going out

AuntieMarys · 29/02/2020 14:53

gwen of course I can stay up. I am 60 and go to a couple of gigs and theatre every month. I prefer not to be in our city centre at night as it is rough as fuck. And as I am retired, I can enjoy lunches and afternoon sessions every day if I want.
HTH.

maddiemookins16mum · 29/02/2020 14:56

Friday - about 10ish (knackered after the working week’.
Sat - usually asleep 11pm-midnight.
Sun - always by 11pm.

LBOCS2 · 29/02/2020 16:32

When I get tired, just like the rest of the week.

In real terms it meant that last night I was in bed by 10.15 but the night before I went to bed at 1. It usually averages out at somewhere between 11-midnight, unless I'm socialising or particularly tired. We have DC but they usually sleep through now so I don't feel so destroyed from lack of sleep!

WinterCat · 29/02/2020 16:33

Around midnight. Usually I manage to time it well so that just as I pull the duvet up to go to sleep, a child wakes up and needs me. Grin

Gwenhwyfar · 29/02/2020 19:39

It was a genuine question AuntieMarys. There was no need for the passive aggressive HTH.

FuckingHateRats · 29/02/2020 19:40

Usually around 11pm.

cptartapp · 29/02/2020 19:46

Between 9-9.30, same as a weekday.
Asleeep pretty much straightaway. I need a good nine hours.

HalfManHalfLabrador · 29/02/2020 19:46

2-2.30 same as most nights

speakout · 29/02/2020 19:48

HalfManHalfLabrador

2.30? Wow- what time do you wake up? Don't you need much sleep?
