Google cyrotag

thenightsky · 09/02/2020 17:08

I've got one above my eyebrow that's too small to tie cotton around. Someone told me to put Ibuprofen gel onto it. I've done this for the last three days and its almost gone now.

FlorencesHunger · 09/02/2020 17:13

I used a kit off amazon, I was too squeamish to use the types that cut them off or you tie them til they drop off so went for the kill it in two mins option. A cream that you leave on for two mins then wipe off.

Tag shrinks and drops off and leaves a scab. There is a small scar but I expect with scar oils/lotions it will dissapear (one was provided).

Beauty salon. Always straightforward there and perfect healing afterwards.

Going by your pic op I would have called those moles rather than skin tags. But I'm no expert so may be completely wrong. Maybe as a GP or pharmacist?

Sporty99 · 09/02/2020 17:20

*ask not as

notapizzaeater · 09/02/2020 17:22

We used the microband kit, got brill results

foodiefil · 09/02/2020 17:41

Omg this is making me cringe - I have several too and the thought of doing anything to them myself is 😣

One time I had one accidentally waxed off because it was in that area - downstairs.

Now I have two or three in the same area and they're really bothering me and causing discomfort.

One in between my legs is quite big and eek I couldn't do anything.

I've been to the doctors and they were meant to arrange an appointment for me but nothing came of it - need to chase that up. That is of course after the doctor grilled me about my sex life to make sure they weren't genital warts first 🙄

FlaskMaster · 09/02/2020 17:59

Some skin tags are brown, goggle it, it's ok. I don't see the point in a kit tbh. Tying cotton around it does exactly the same without paying for a plastic random thingy. It's just unnecessary tbh!

Fannia · 09/02/2020 18:05

The Amazon kits are great if they are big enough. Dd had one on her cheek and we used this on it, it doesn't hurt at all and was easy to do.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/02/2020 18:07

I did mine with the amazon kit, it works really well.

Fannia · 09/02/2020 18:10

We used the kit rather than just thread as I thought the thread might be a bit fiddly, but I am sure thread would work if you can tie it.

Overseasmom100 · 09/02/2020 20:07

They are round balls and brown...my hair keeps catching so painful.

I paid for dd to have some removed by a private plastic surgeon, it wasn’t expensive.

PlaymobilPirate · 09/02/2020 20:11

I have a small one on my bottom eye lid, just under my lashes. Could I remove it??

Crinkle77 · 09/02/2020 22:25

I think they're moles too rather than skin tags.

thenightsky · 09/02/2020 22:27

PlaymobilPirate Try the Nurofen gel trick. Its working on the one above my eye.

I remember having loads when I was younger but
Don’t remember how they went all except one, it used to bug the hell out me because it was right on the neck line and was there from the age of about 7 till I was 26 when I got out of the shower one day, was drying my neck and all of a sudden it had fallen off. I’ve recently noticed another one on my hip, it’s not annoying me at the moment so I’ll leave it be.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 09/02/2020 22:44

I have loads on my neck, mostly very tiny. Also have them elsewhere on my body but the neck is the only visible place. I bought a skin tag zapping kit a few months ago - you fit a thin sterilised needle into a pen like gadget, press a button and it zaps it off. That’s the theory anyway. I tried it once and was pretty scared of the sparking and sizzling so haven’t tried it again. My problem with using the Amazon kits is that I can’t go round with my neck covered in plasters! I’d need about ten! Bit worried about the insulin resistance link - but think they’re hereditary, as my grandma was very warty in old age.

FatLassNumber1 · 09/02/2020 22:56

I have one on my nipple and Im desperate to get rid of it but dont have a lot of money to go private. Cant tie cotton around it tight enough and clear nail varnish didnt work. Any suggestions please?

thenightsky · 10/02/2020 09:15

Dab nurofen gel on it twice a day.

Overseasmom100 · 10/02/2020 12:15

Im certain they are tags...Im fairly olive skinned so perhaps they look like brown moles. Im so squeamish I'll give the gel a go

OP posts:
FlaskMaster · 10/02/2020 13:52

FatLass is it definitely not a second nipple? Maybe get a Dr to check first. There was a woman on embarrassing bodies with that and they joined them into one.

millymae · 10/02/2020 14:10

OH had just had one removed by the GP.
Make an appointment to see yours before you do anything and tell him or her that the tags are catching on your hair.
In our practice they will remove tags for medical reasons but not for purely cosmetic ones.
There is also a medical aesthetic place locally run by two medics and they will remove skin tags relatively cheaply
