Play date at my sisters today after sausage sandwiches for breakfast and then swimming with friends and Lasagne for dinner. DH is doing DIY and it’s just for the best me and DD are well out of the way!

OP posts:

We are having a lazy day in with our 2 month old DD. I might make something nice for pudding tonight. It’s homemade steak and ale pie with parmentier potatoes for dinner once my two older sons are back from their dad.

BahMooQuack · 09/02/2020 08:18

DS 1 is petrified of wind and storms so it looks like we are staying in and he is hiding in bed and on his tablet. I might get him up for a dvd later but franjly whatever he wants to do is fine.

Dinner.... sausage stew. Probably with mashed potatoes, although I am hoping we might have polenta lurking somewhere.

CherryPavlova · 09/02/2020 08:18

In a pub with rooms at moment. Husband gone out to run the dog. It’s incredibly windy and wet so I’m not moving until he’s returned and made tea.
On our way to Devon where our daughters and their boyfriends are joining us for a few days. So driving, hugs, a swim and sauna, meal at hotel (hoping for crab) and board games probably.

Crunchymum · 09/02/2020 08:19

Swimming lesson soon, then home for Sunday chores (ironing, batch cooking, homework)

Got food shopping coming later as well.

Dinner will be mini meatballs (with spaghetti, salad and garlic bread).

DP is working and out for birthday drinks later (BIL birthday) so me and kids will watch a film and have an early night.

MysweetAudrina · 09/02/2020 08:29

Wind and rain are battering against my window right now so giving second thoughts to attending 9.30am yoga class. General election count is today (ROI) so probably going to watch the results.

Roast stuffed leg of lamb with roasted, cauliflower gratin, cabbage and carrots followed by chocolate cake and cream for later. Might have a sausage sambo when i get up.

isseywith4vampirecats · 09/02/2020 08:36

have to make a trip to local B&Q to get paint for my hallways as my son is ainting that today, and then later on have to go to Aldi for shopping as freezer is on the bones of its arse food wise, both ten minutes from home

Ikora · 09/02/2020 08:42

Roast dinner and due to weather much pottering at home and a bit of a spring clean. We will also binge watch what we do in the shadows, we watched a lot yesterday.

lucysmam · 09/02/2020 08:58

Usual Sunday stuff here - ironing, baking, making sure homework is done, reading with dd2, checking I have everything for Rainbows on Tuesday & some e-learning for work.

Dd2 will probably play with loom bands and her new colouring book, & dd1 was looking for a series to watch on Netflix so will most likely watch a couple of episodes if she found one.

It was roast chicken for tea but the girls' dad took in my shop & I didn't realise until last night, when I took it out to defrost, that there's very little meat on it. So, some sort of roast but not sure what yet...

IggyAce · 09/02/2020 09:02

Very wet and windy here so not a lot planned. I will need to pop to a supermarket, but the rest of the day will be spent watching a movie, reading and maybe a board game.
Dinner will be pulled pork served with salad and wraps.

Littleshortcake · 09/02/2020 09:06

Crumpets for breakfast and I made dinner yesterday so no cooking and housework is done. So we will go somewhere (maybe cinema). Hope dh will put up pictures we've had for a while. Call the Midwife later so night get wine to enjoy it with.

FVFrog · 09/02/2020 09:07

Short dog walk avoiding woods (South coast and super windy!) then pottering day as I was on a late night out last night and had one more glass of red wine than my usual two, so am a little fuzzy headed this morning and the wind kept waking me up! Slow roast shoulder of pork for supper later.

cliffdiver · 09/02/2020 09:07

Lazy morning on sofa eating salmon bagels and watching High School Musical.

Later we're heading to local(ish) town as DDs have some Christmas vouchers to spend and I need to change some trainers. We live just East of Brighton, so would usually shop there but I'm a bit paranoid about Coronavirus.

Not sure about dinner - we probably won't be home in time for a roast. May eat out.

Bezalelle · 09/02/2020 09:10

Supposed to be meeting my mum in town to use our John Lewis coffee/cake vouchers, but I'm wondering if it's such a good idea for her to drive here in this storm.

If she comes, I'll probably get something for dinner in M&S while I'm in town.

Drinkciderfromalemon · 09/02/2020 09:14

Cleaning and paperwork on the agenda. Food wise, possibly something prawny/chinese ish, or chickpea curry.

vampirethriller · 09/02/2020 09:16

Just back from walking the dog in a tornado (slight exaggeration) and having peanut butter and jam toast for breakfast. Hibernating all day and it's lentil curry for dinner.

maddiemookins16mum · 09/02/2020 09:16

I’ve just put a wash on, about to make eggy bread and square sausage and coffee for breakfast. DP is ironing in front of Sky Sport.
Quick tidy through, drop DD at Youth Church for 11am.
Lunch is about 3pm, mahoosive toad in the hole with mustard mash, onion gravy, carrots and some green veg too.
I haven’t decided on pudding yet, either steamed Jam or syrup sponge pudding or homemade rice pudding with a dollop of DMIL’s rhubarb and ginger jam.
I love Sundays.

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 09/02/2020 09:19

DH is on the way home from weekend training so it's just me and the DC.
So far we've played car races, watched copious CBeebies and rolled a pair of drier balls round the living room.
DD is now napping on me and DS is watching some kind of insidious cartoon with lots of twee singing. He's quite scared of the wind though and our house is getting a bit battered and is quite loud so anything to keep his mind off it.
If it calms down later we might go to a soft play nearby or a wander round the village.
It's a roast for dinner tonight so cooking that later as well!

glotterbug · 09/02/2020 09:27

First day feeling semi normal after being in hospital, taking it easy but looking forward to normality of a Sunday, so getting uniforms ready and lunches ordered, dc currently playing Lego (this could go on for a while) dog walk at some point and sausages for tea. Perfectly normal and great for me!

Ellapaella · 09/02/2020 09:30

No storms here yet but we had anticipated due to the forecast we would be indoors all day. I will have to take the dog out at some point and DH is going to take the kids to the swimming pool before tea.
I'll do a bit of housework and washing, a board game with the kids and we're going to watch Harry Potter this afternoon (kids are gearing up for our trip to HP studios so watching the films over the next few weekends).
Roast chicken for dinner with all the trimmings and we have a lovely sticky toffee pudding for afters.

NopeNotToday5 · 09/02/2020 09:30

Not going out anywhere today so cleaning the bathroom, kitchen and doing the washing. Later for tea we are having pork chops with roast potatoes and veg. 18 month old been awake since 4am so he'll be having a nap alittle later and so will i!

lettersbyowl · 09/02/2020 09:37

Pottering around at home today, getting ready for the week and later having a "spa" bath sesh (face and hair masks etc!). Breakfast is golden plum toms, chestnut mushrooms, and some local bacon on sourdough, lunch is chorizo crusted penne, and dinner is meatloaf with roasted veg salad.

I should confess I'm 24 weeks pregnant and trying to do things I won't have time for when baby is here (long baths), and I have already had my first breakfast of fruit with yogurt Blush

biddybid73 · 09/02/2020 09:45

May venture to the swimming pool to take my DS for a swim. Otherwise staying inside playing and watching TV.

Dinner will be chicken and leek pie.

SpaceDinosaur · 09/02/2020 09:47

Bacon and egg sandwiches for breakfast

Children's party at lunchtime so probably sandwiches and crisps (I'll take a snack for me as I'm pregnant and need to nibble!)

I made chicken pie last night so pie, mash and veg for dinner

HitItAsHardAsYouCan · 09/02/2020 09:50

DH and DS1 have taken DS2 to Manchester airport - he was meant to be flying down to London ☹️. His flight hadn't been cancelled at the time of their leaving - but has now, so they’ve diverted to Manchester Piccadilly railway station.
When they eventually get home, DH is making us a curry. His curries are fabulous, and although I really ought to step in whilst he’s out I’m not going to - my efforts are rubbish compared to his.

GertrudeCB · 09/02/2020 09:54

Just a mooching about the house day, ddog is out with DH atm but the weather is worsening.
Doing a roast chicken later and might do some baking while the oven is on.
DC are adults so just me, DH and ddog at home.
