I was obsessed with Buffy when I was younger, especially Giles. I used to tell my dad I would marry ASH one day, don’t know what it was about him. I am 30 now and just watched ‘the stranger’ on Netflix and all those old celebrity crush feelings came rushing back Grin
He’s so charismatic, I love watching interviews with him. Every time I read those celeb meeting threads people always say he’s lovely too.
Just thought I would share my appreciation for him in the hope I am not alone!

I hate that guy. Had the misfortune to meet him once - he kicked my puppy then tried to throw me onto the tracks at Wigan station. He sneered 'No one will believe you Purrs, NO ONE!' Arsehole Sad

He’s so so good in Bleak Expectations. 1 credit on Audible for all 5 series (the later series are better than series 1 because they have more Gently Benevolent with increasingly bizarre disguises).

His Twitter feed is lovely. He also narrates one of my favourite series - Paul Temple (it's a kind of 50s gentleman detective series) I was dead against anything other than radio play versions of Paul Temple but I gave one narrated by him a try and he was awesome.

I love him too but I’ve been rewatching Merlin with my son and he’s SO frustrating as Uther being so anti magic. I know the story needs a foil but it’s annoying. This is just season one I’m sure things develop later. Love him in Buffy, and the allusions to his old days as Ripper. And when him and Joyce are acting like teenagers. So funny!

I've always maintained that the bit where he challenges Evil Willow with "I'd like to test that theory" is the most badass TV moment grin it gives me goosebumps!
