Did you sing that in your head? Grin

I made a hollandaise sauce for the first time. It was perfect and delicious!

Found my way to a job interview in a place I'd never been before when my sat nag wouldn't work.

TheQueens · 05/02/2020 23:20

These are all brilliant! Well I opened all the debt letters I have been ignoring for months on end (debt accrued during an awful abusive relationship 3 years ago and catching up with me now!) and it wasn't half as bad as I thought. Going to put a plan in action tomorrow to tackle it Smile

Notthebloodygym · 06/02/2020 09:23

I'm feeling iffy and on antibiotics, but I managed my exercise regime and an hours cleaning.

Well done everyone.

Disfordarkchocolate · 06/02/2020 09:29

Went to the GP and agreed to add a medication I know I need to try but don't want to try.

Did a big tidy in my bedroom with my husband, it looks like a different room and I slept really well.

OnlyTheTitOfTheLangBerg · 06/02/2020 11:00

Every single one of these is a wonderful achievement. Flowers to everybody!

"when my sat nag wouldn't work"

I'm so going to start calling it that now.

Breathmiller · 06/02/2020 12:13

Yes I agree. Its wonderful to hear of all these pat on the back moments.

Lovely idea for a thread OP.

ColouredPolkaDots · 06/02/2020 18:20

@happypotamus Thank you! It felt huge but was worth it. Congratulations on your achievements too, it's so hard to feel on the edge of tipping over but you managed anyway!

adaline · 06/02/2020 19:03

Redecorated the entire kitchen - the first time I've ever painted a whole room on my own! I did the walls and cupboards - I'm dead chuffed Grin

squashyhat · 06/02/2020 19:13

I went to read the meters and say goodbye to my childhood home. My Dad died in 2018 and the new owners are moving in tomorrow.

I am proud of the help my sister and I gave him in his final months, proud of the funeral we had for him, proud of the work we did to clear it and proud that it has been sold to a young couple who will hopefully raise a family there like he and my Mum did.

But it's the end of a big chapter of my life and even though I haven't lived there for many years it still feels sad Sad

LisaSimpsonsbff · 06/02/2020 21:19

Flowers squashyhat. That's a beautiful post and you obviously loved your dad so much.

p2312 · 06/02/2020 21:31

In my yoga class today I attempted Camel pose and shoulder stand for the first time. And it wasn't too bad an attempt.

dementedma · 06/02/2020 21:34

I swam for half a mile tonight.

ComeOnGordon · 06/02/2020 21:35

Even though it’s not my job, I sat with a patient who had been diagnosed with probably terminal cancer and just let her talk about her fears esp about what would happen to her little dog after she dies 😢

Newyearnewarse · 06/02/2020 21:39

A 13 year old told me that her evening anxiety was loads better after the relaxation tips I had given her 3 weeks ago.

I was proud of her as I know it is not a magic wand but she kept trying.

And I am proud of myself as I am someone she trusts.

Panpastels · 06/02/2020 22:02

I felt reasonably competent in my job today. I'm still quite new and it's a lot more responsibility than my old one. Hope it lasts!

Marmite27 · 06/02/2020 22:04

Day 2 of c25k with our local running group.

Excercise and socialising Shock

Dowser · 06/02/2020 22:09

Oh bless you hersetta what an awful nightmare..well done you
I drove the two hours from the lakes to home in beautiful sunshine...it was a pleasure actually
Left the dining staff in the hotel a decent tip...I felt they went above and beyond with our gf and df peculiarities
Wrote a glowing report about the hotel on fb
Unpacked and washed..
And made a fresh fruit salad with poached apricots which I Hope was similar to those in the hotel
All in all a good day

Dowser · 06/02/2020 22:13

I had to do that in 2016 squashy
That home had been mine and my parents for 60 years
Was a sad day.was going to rent it out but might have come across a lot of expensive problems
Now I kind of wished I’d kept it
Still have pangs when I occasionally pass by

Hoolajerry · 06/02/2020 22:34

I found a man about to be homeless housing and mental health support in the community.
