Did you sing that in your head? Grin

I made a hollandaise sauce for the first time. It was perfect and delicious!

Week 1 - Run 3 of C25K this evening! So pleased with me!

doodlejump1980 · 05/02/2020 20:54

Signed 4 contracts with a publisher 🤩

HerRoyalNotness · 05/02/2020 20:57

I spent about 3hrs today working on my literature review for my research proposal. I’m an undergraduate and was feeling extremely overwhelmed with the whole thing, but I have managed to calm myself down slightly which enabled me to do some work instead of being frozen with fear.

pbjsandwich · 05/02/2020 20:57

Went to the doctors about the low mood/depression symptoms I had been feeling. Walked out feeling as though a weight had been lifted, looked at 18mo snoozing in the pram and never felt so relieved to have got it all off my chest and to be in the moment watching him snooze and feel so grateful for him, then went and got myself a victory chocolate bar as a treat Grin

TedsFederationRep · 05/02/2020 20:58

Supported a friend in need and saw her smile again.
Meant a lot.

dementedma · 05/02/2020 21:01

Another day without alcohol

Chipsahoy · 05/02/2020 21:02

I managed not to lose my shit at Dc1 who smashed a car window at school today and cost me £100..
Stupidity not malice.
Hmm

DrWAnker · 05/02/2020 21:03

My grumpy 12 yo said I was an amazing mum and told me she loved me in front of one of her friends.

AllTheUserNamesAreTaken · 05/02/2020 21:04

Got a promotion at work.

sockittome123 · 05/02/2020 21:04

I aspire to be like the book writers upthread - book's all ready and waiting, just no time to research publishers!

I gave my friend a confidence boost (I think, anyway) - she was feeling low so I hope I helped her.

StrumpersPlunkett · 05/02/2020 21:07

These are all awesome!

I had a whole day with a class - just me - Phonics, English, DANCE, guided reading and P.E. - as a trainee teacher. Knackered but proud.

ColouredPolkaDots · 05/02/2020 21:08

I asked for help. Sounds tiny but I hate feeling like I need help and gave awful anxiety so didn't want to ask but I did and I'm proud (and very glad) that I did!

Queenofheartsnomore · 05/02/2020 21:12

I've not been feeling well for a couple of days but I did 30mins x3 on my exercise bike and took my toddler for a walk.

MushroomTree · 05/02/2020 21:12

I went to a networking/master class event for the industry I'm trying to retrain into. I'm an introvert at the best of times and my mental health has been shocking recently so I was amazed I got through the door at all, let alone enjoyed the experience.

Well done all of us GrinFlowers

namechangingtime · 05/02/2020 21:13

Thank you @Breathmiller ! Well done for taking some well deserved you time!

Showmeyourhero · 05/02/2020 21:13

Actually stopped and took a Nap. A whole hour long nap! May not sound like an accomplishment to most but for Me it's huge, I struggle with OCD and continuously put pressure on myself to keep busy doing 'jobs' for every minute throughout the day - today I stopped, and I slept, and it was awesome 👏

Lobsterquadrille2 · 05/02/2020 21:13

Spent the day with my mother. She's changed in the last week .... she had surgery (which I think the consultant was hoping she might not need as she's nearly 90) and suddenly seems old for the very first time. She's still in her own home and my sister and I have split the days since Sunday when she was discharged.

Ooh and like dementedma another sober day. 😀

Graphista · 05/02/2020 21:18

@Showmeyourhero well done!

I also have ocd but am in a long term deeply avoidant phase but I've also had phases like yours. Once I spent over 72 hours doing NOTHING else but clean. Didn't sleep didn't even sit just cleaned.

Today...I had lunch. First time in over a year. I usually only eat once a day and today I will be eating twice.

I am trying to do at least one thing a day that don't "have" to. I'm doing ok so far this week and trying to maintain.

I've also managed 10 days in a row sleeping more than 4 hours AND at night which is something I really struggle with.

Graphista · 05/02/2020 21:21

In fact well done to everyone! We need to celebrate our achievements more, plenty of us have enough people in our lives doing us down we need to boost up ourselves.

Particular well done to all the addicts who've managed another day sober or otherwise beating their addiction.

I have quite a few addicts in my family and also a few friends quietly and determinedly maintaining sobriety I know it's not easy.

Dodie66 · 05/02/2020 21:22

I went to the dentist.
I’ve had severe toothache on and off for a while and last weekend was horrendous. I have dental phobia so will put up with the pain rather than get over my fears.
My lovely hubby arranged an appointment for me at short notice this morning so I didn’t have time to think about it and I went 🙂
The tooth is not hurting at the moment and will have to be taken out and I also need 4 fillings. I managed to cope with having them cleaned and having xrays etc so I’m feeling a bit pleased with myself. I have another appointment for more treatment.

Fuckitwhynot · 05/02/2020 21:26

We have a child in the nursery I work in with delayed physical development, he’s been absolutely desperate to climb the climbing frame without help and after 2 weeks of helping him place feet and bend his legs and supporting himself to pull himself up today he actually did it!!! He was absolutely elated with himself and so was I Grin totally his achievement but also mine just a little. We had a little misty eyed hug at the top of the frame and he was saying “I did it!” 🥰🥰🥰

PH30B3 · 05/02/2020 21:32

I survived it that's always an achievement for me at the moment.

Mumof1andacat · 05/02/2020 21:45

Sorted the shed and the cat got spayed. She has coped very well with it 😻

happypotamus · 05/02/2020 22:53

Went to work, didn't cry or have any kind of breakdown, survived.

ColouredPolkaDots well done, that is one of the hardest things in my opinion.

Gilead · 05/02/2020 23:01

Helped a friend get a flat. Chuffed to pieces for them!
