If I loved Fleabag what else should I watch?

I've just rewatched Fleabag and suffering withdrawal symptoms Sad

Please tell me what else I can watch that's original, funny, feminist, touching...

Is there anything that comes remotely close?!

Another vote for Mum.

CollieDug · 02/02/2020 23:38

Derry girls

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 02/02/2020 23:38

Girls is on Now TV. Personally didn't like it though, I thought they were all awful

Nothing compares... sorry. I just watched it a few times more.. still having withdrawals Blush

DaveGrohlsMuse · 02/02/2020 23:48

Back to Life, Derry Girls, Crashing, Catastrophe, Motherland, Mum.
600 Bottles of Wine on iPlayer is great BUT it stops halfway through the series which is sooooo frustrating.

I started watching Shrill, also on iPlayer. It's definitely got potential but I haven't been back to it yet.

Startoftheyear2020 · 02/02/2020 23:49

Mum is amazing.

chesterpester · 03/02/2020 00:00

took me a while but Our Country on the BBC is funny.

Neolara · 03/02/2020 00:04

Sex Education is funny and touching.

Discobabe98 · 03/02/2020 00:06

Gameface! Really similar vibes but in a bit more lighthearted way, even though the main character is still dealing with loads of personal issues a bit like Fleabag. It’s on All4 Smile

BasinHaircut · 03/02/2020 00:09

Am I the only person in the world who couldn’t get on with fleabag?

I watched a few and just thought it was a bit smutty. Didn’t get it.

kidhelp · 03/02/2020 00:34

Bojack horseman unlike the rest of us you won't have to wait a year for each season to come out

Brievandekamp · 03/02/2020 00:37

@chesterpester do you mean This Country?

chesterpester · 03/02/2020 00:38

yeah maybe, awful with names. Brother & sister

AutumnRose1 · 03/02/2020 01:03

Basin Season 2 makes sense of it all.

Guineapigbridge · 03/02/2020 02:25

Catastrophe

Verily1 · 03/02/2020 02:32

Did you watch Betty and Joan when it was on?

TanteRose · 03/02/2020 02:37

I'm always recommending the Danish series, Rita, on these type of threads Smile
its very good and definitely fits your criteria of original, funny, feminist, touching

BalloonSlayer · 03/02/2020 06:32

I haven't seen fleabag but Crazy Ex Girlfriend is original, funny, touching and feminist.

Give it a couple of episodes though . . . I was watching it with DD who wanted me to see it so I had no choice but to keep going, on my own I would not have watched after episode 1. But after a couple of episodes I adored it. Mind you, on my own I wouldn't have even started as Crazy Ex Girlfriend is such a "sexist term." Wink

bravotango · 03/02/2020 09:21

I second the Workin Moms recommendation - that was great!

beguilingeyes · 03/02/2020 09:36

Motherland is fabulous

DaveGrohlsMuse · 03/02/2020 09:41

Of course, Gameface! I'd forgotten about that, but I binged watched it in a day. Took me complete by surprise, it's wonderful.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 03/02/2020 09:42

This Way Up

LutherRalph1 · 03/02/2020 09:43

Another vote for sex education, I binged it all in a week

Panticus · 03/02/2020 09:54

Russian Doll gets my vote

Ikora · 03/02/2020 11:03

I also loved Fleabag and have never seen anything quite like it. I am late to the feast as it’s a few years old but am loving Friday night dinner at the moment.
