There's a cat in my garden staring at me

It runs away if I open the door but five minutes after I go inside it's in the garden staring at me. Have I been chosen?

It's eyeing you up as a possible slave!

imaflutteringkite · 22/01/2020 12:51

That's what I was afraid of!

Does it look in good condition?.

imaflutteringkite · 22/01/2020 12:57

Yes it looks in a great condition. Almost as if it stares at all the neighbours until they give in and feed it.

Is it professor Mcgonagall? Have you selected for hogworts?

imaflutteringkite · 22/01/2020 13:09

God I hope not, I've never seen Harry Potter and don't intend to start now!

Found one in the house this am - good job it was me and not the dog!! (Back door was open)

PigletJohn · 22/01/2020 14:09

Neighbour's cat does that. It will walk in for a nose if door is left open but runs away if you get close.

GetawayfromthatWelshtart · 22/01/2020 14:12

Picture or it didn't happen! :)

They are eyeing you up as a day slave snack station before going home for a nap and packet of felix/ whiskas claiming they are starving.

I know, I am one.

Damntheman · 22/01/2020 14:12

This is the beginning of a horror film. Give it a week and you'll look up to find it sat just inside your bathroom door watching you pee.

imaflutteringkite · 22/01/2020 14:14

Here it is.

It could be six dinner Sid!

SallyWD · 22/01/2020 14:25

This happened to us. In the end she decided to move in. We were powerless to stop her. We had 3 wonderful years together before she died. Still miss her terribly.

ALongHardWinter · 22/01/2020 15:16

You belong to him/her now! Have you thought of a name for them yet? Grin

Horsemad · 22/01/2020 21:55

Mewsli! 🙂

mogloveseggs · 22/01/2020 22:03

What a Bonny cat!
Looks like you're being chosen Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/01/2020 22:03

It’s a girl.

Angie6868 · 22/01/2020 22:07

Definitely female

imaflutteringkite · 23/01/2020 11:33

How do you know it's a girl?

OP posts:
spiderlight · 23/01/2020 11:35

Tortoiseshell cats are nearly always female - only 1 in 3,000 is male.

Aloe6 · 23/01/2020 11:36

She’s a tortoiseshell. Can only be a female. She’s lovely.

imaflutteringkite · 23/01/2020 11:46

Oh I didn't know that and I've always had cats Blush

OP posts:
LemonPrism · 23/01/2020 12:03

Sorry... you've never seen Harry Potter?

caperplips · 23/01/2020 12:08

oh! she's gorgeous! Leave out some food for her? I would..

imaflutteringkite · 23/01/2020 12:33

No, never seen Harry Potter. DD has now seen the cat. Seems DD is an animal whisper and is now stroking the cat that runs away whenever anyone else goes outside.
