Anyone been to a stadium gig on their own?

A band I really love and have always wanted to see live are doing a stadium gig.

I've been to plenty of gigs on my own before but little standing only venues where you can blend into the crowd.

I'm apprehensive because I'll most likely be seated and it will be fairly obvious I'm alone.

If by some miracle I do manage to get tickets when they go on sale ( expected to sell out in minutes) I can't really afford to buy two I'm the hope of taking a friend and I don't know anyone who likes the band enough to pay the £££ they want per ticket.

Has anyone ever been to a massive gig like this before alone? How was it?

I'm still in the queue, however I've opened up a new page and it's shown as completely sold out, so I think I've missed out!

Got 4 screens open, in the queue on all but now one says no tickets could be found so think its sold out 😭

And there are now tickets on tout sites for double/triple the cost...

They’re doing a Sunday date. Left the Saturday queue and got them on the Sunday

I didn't get them, for either day. Was even trying to get VIP tickets for either day. I literally clicked as the seconds turned to 0. Oh well, to be expected as part of this shitty year I guess! 😣

Yes and loved it , got talking to a few people and the concert was brilliant !
Have seen them since with friends and they weren't as good ....

I have had such a stressful morning trying to get tickets! My 15yo is a huge fan and I promised him I'd sit here for dead on 9.30 and get some.

My bank app went down when I was trying to buy tickets so I couldn't transfer any money was £1 short ffs!) so my card got declined, then it froze when I finally managed it and chucked me out so I had to go through it all again. Managed to get some though. Not as good as the first tickets I had in the basket, but we're going!

I was shaking so much I couldn't type my address properly.

I was originally in for right at the back seated tickets for the Saturday but the site crashed.

I got back in and managed standing for the Sunday.

I'm so bloody chuffed. 😊

Most stressful hour. I need a nap now.

More stressful than trying to book a Butlins pay only date thru sun 9.50 holidays.

I've just looked and there are VIP platinum tickets left for Sunday but they are very pricey

Couldn't be arsed in the end. We tried for a pair of seating for DD and I but kept getting thrown out of the queue etc.
We've seen them about 20 times already anyway so not hugely bothered to miss it. DD lives behind the stadium so we've joked we'll just open a window 😂

It looks like I might be going on my own too. I can’t wait! Feel like a teenager again

My dh went to glasto basically on his own. He did meet up with some mates who happened to be there but was mostly quite happy by himself! He has weird music tastes that he doesn't expect friends to like.

So DS got us tickets for the Thursday show. Despite my initial thoughts of 'I can take or leave it' my house currently thinks it's 2002 and I'm dancing around the room to bullets the best album

Need to dig out my bestest eyeliner and my gash eyeshadow ❤️

I kept all my old clubbing clothes as a memento. They are in my mum's loft.

I've got 5 months to put on 2 stone so I can wear them.

Pregnancy and HG shrunk me.

@Stabbitha I have T Shirts from the very first UK tour back in the bullets era. I need to find my beloved Newark NJ shirt which I think is in the loft as well.

I went to wembley alone and was fine. In fact i was jn a rubbish seat and when the ushers came in before the gig i was asked if i was alone and because i was he moved me to amazing seats by the stage. Was fantastic.
