Dishwashers that don't beep constantly at the end of a cycle?

My dishwasher broke just before Christmas, it was an old second hand indesit that we were given for free.
I've been looking for a new one with a budget of up to £300 but every time I find one that fits what we want (quiet, full sized, preferably silver in colour), I read in the reviews that once it's finished, you have to go turn it off or if not it won't stop beeping.
My old one didn't do this, and it's definitely something I don't want as I have a health condition (and also pregnant!) which makes getting up and about difficult. It will drive me insane keep beeping, I don't mind a few beeps to let me know it's done but not constant!
Can anyone that has a dishwasher that doesn't do this, please tell me what it is please??
My husband does all the kitchen chores and he's getting desperate now!

That’s odd I’ve never known one to keep beeping ... mine beeps about 4 times then stops ... think it’s a zanussi

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 16/01/2020 09:29

Mines is a beko never beeps

Girlwhowearsglasses · 16/01/2020 09:29

They mostly have the capacity to stop the beeping if you are willing to delve into impenetrable instructions to find out the multiple buttons to press ;-)Confused

We have an Asko - it goes beep beep beep and then stops.

BarbaraofSeville · 16/01/2020 09:32

We got a Bosch, but it was about 4 years ago, that doesn't bing and bong at all, but I agree the trend for needy beepy appliances is infuriating.

Both our tumble dryer (shitey indesit, big mistake and sadly I don't think it's one of the recall ones that I could get rid of so we have to live with it) and our otherwise excellent AEG washing machine feel the need to announce that they've completed the task assigned to them. But at least they only do it a few times and then fall silent.

FetchezLaVache · 16/01/2020 09:34

My Kenwood one beeps eight times and then stops, but DP's beeps intermittently until you switch it off, the attention-seeking bastard. I think it's an AEG and in fairness to it, it's a far better dishwasher than mine in every other respect.

paap1975 · 16/01/2020 09:35

Our beeps all night if we don't switch it off. I loathe it!

ShatnersWig · 16/01/2020 09:37

My Bosch never beeps

happypotamus · 16/01/2020 09:38

We have a Bosch that hardly beeps at all.

Babdoc · 16/01/2020 09:39

I have an Indesit that doesn’t beep at all. Which is just as well, since I run it overnight!

Mrsjayy · 16/01/2020 09:40

Mine (indesit) doesn't beep well it beeeeeeps when its finished but that is it .

DameSylvieKrin · 16/01/2020 09:41

I had an Ikea Lagan that beeps four times only.

INeedNewShoes · 16/01/2020 09:41

I’ve got a Beko that doesn’t beep. I’d thought Beko was not a great brand but if you look at reviews, the dishwashers come out well.

I actually think my dishwasher is amazing! I’ve had it 2 years and it cleans and dries dishes better than any other dishwasher I’ve ever met (and my parents had a Miele).

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 16/01/2020 09:42

My Beko doesn’t beep, neither did the Bosch it replaced.

Have to say the Beko is very good. Filter is easy to clean, nice top rack for the cutlery, plenty of folding racks to make room for pots & pans & the glass rack has an adjustable height. We were looking at a Grundig but it was 3 weeks for delivery, then found out Beko are actually made by them & it could be with us 2 days later. Much cheaper too!

BouncingOnATightrope · 16/01/2020 09:42

I have a Bosch and you can turn the beeper off.

VesperLindt · 16/01/2020 09:44

We just got a Bosch Serie 2 which doesn't beep at the end of the cycle and is silver. Slightly over price range though - think it was about £350 from Currys.

Southmouth · 16/01/2020 09:48

I have a indesit and it doesn’t beep at all.

IcaMorgan · 16/01/2020 09:49

My Bosch doesn’t beep and the repair guy said it was one of the best on the market (it needed repairs due to something my husband had done)

SageRosemary · 16/01/2020 09:49

I have a Fisher&Paykel that beeps at end of cycle and then stops, it's about 15 years old now.

JLbaby · 16/01/2020 09:49

I also have a Beko dishwasher which is brilliant, it has been discontinued now unfortunately so can't link it but it's an "eco" dishwasher that doesn't use much water. Same as above, filter really easy to clean, cutlery rack at the top and also a removable basket if you want one. Lots of different combinations of folding racks and adjustable height top shelf. It was under £300 too.

Doesn't beep either, and has lots of different programmes (all seem to work as well as each other), and very quiet.

Clymene · 16/01/2020 09:52

I have a smeg which does a double beep when it finishes and that's it. I can't imagine why anyone would want one that didn't stop. My new microwave keeps beeping until you open the door and it drives me potty!

MaidenMotherCrone · 16/01/2020 10:05

I have 2 Bosch. One beeps twice at the end of the cycle to let you know it's finished then turns itself off. The other is mute and turns itself off when finished.

LivingForSummer · 16/01/2020 10:32

Thank you for all the recommendations, I knew they must exist, I must have just been unlucky with the ones I've looked at!
One was a kenwood, I googled if there was a way to switch it off but the instructions said it was hard wired to keep beeping!
I now have hope again so will keep looking! ☺️

I bought a Bosch last year. It doesn’t beep.

My Siemens washing machine e however plays me a section of Schubert’s Trout Quintet. It lives in the garage so only the wellies and the bird peanuts have to listen to it.

dementedpixie · 16/01/2020 10:38

My Bosch logixx beeps 4 times then switches off. My washing machine plays a tune then switches off.
