Dishwashers that don't beep constantly at the end of a cycle?

My dishwasher broke just before Christmas, it was an old second hand indesit that we were given for free.
I've been looking for a new one with a budget of up to £300 but every time I find one that fits what we want (quiet, full sized, preferably silver in colour), I read in the reviews that once it's finished, you have to go turn it off or if not it won't stop beeping.
My old one didn't do this, and it's definitely something I don't want as I have a health condition (and also pregnant!) which makes getting up and about difficult. It will drive me insane keep beeping, I don't mind a few beeps to let me know it's done but not constant!
Can anyone that has a dishwasher that doesn't do this, please tell me what it is please??
My husband does all the kitchen chores and he's getting desperate now!

I have a Bosch- nearing 10 years old. The beeping drives me mad. It goes on intermittently for at least half an hour. Same with the Bosch washing machine - it’s so needy. There are instructions online about what buttons to press in combination (while standing on one leg and patting your tummy) but I’ve never cracked the code to mute the damn beeping.

Miele here for the three appliances (dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer) and none of them makes a sound. The laundry items are in the utility room so the noise would be pointless as never hear them.

The dishwasher is in the open plan living area and I would take a sledgehammer to it if itdecided when I should attend to it by beeping at me.

My Beko one just ends and a red light shows, no beeping or noises at all. It's 8 years old and still going strong!

Our Bosch one beeps at the end of the cycle and that's it. But I think it cost more than £300.

Oldraver · 16/01/2020 10:56

We have a fairly new Miele, which doesn't beep, but opens at the end of the cycle.

Ds1 saw this happen for the first time a few days ago and thought it had broken

CourtOfProtection · 16/01/2020 10:57

Both our dishwasher & washing machine beeped forever when they'd finished. Drove me crazy! Angry

Until I realised in fact all I had to do was watch a short YouTube video on which buttons you had to press to permanently deactivate the beep. BlushBlushBlush

My new dryer beebeepbeeps till you turn it off drives me nuts all others I've had just cut out when it was finished

Urkiddingright · 16/01/2020 11:04

Ours does beep incessantly till you turn it off, it’s Zanussi but it’s also integral so we’re reluctant to change it purely due to the beeping. We have the Samsung eco bubble washing machine which literally sings a 30 second song at the end of every cycle and it can’t be switched off- now THAT’s annoying.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 16/01/2020 11:08

My BOSH beeped, but I looked online for a secret way to disable it.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 16/01/2020 13:06

Urk the Samsung is flipping infuriating, isn’t it? My children hum the time as well Angry

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 16/01/2020 13:06

The tune, not time.

dementedpixie · 16/01/2020 13:16

You can switch off the sound on samsung ecobubble by switching the machine on and pressing the rinse and spin buttons for a few seconds until a wee red sound off icon appears

First thing I did with my new Samsung washing machine was deactivate the annoying tune. Technician came to sort a minor issue and told me machine was all fine now and mentioned the tune. I said 'I'll soon have that deactivated again!'. He looked nonplussed.
Ditto my beko tumble dryer. Both in utility room but I could still hear it.
Nearly 11 year old John Lewis dishwasher had better not cronk any time soon, but beep-free will be a priority when it does!

FiveFarthings · 16/01/2020 13:22

God I have this with every single kitchen appliance. The dishwasher, the washing machine, the tumble drier and the worst is the microwave! At least the others stop beeping after a period but the microwave keeps going.

I know the point is it beeps so you remember to turn off the machine, good for the environment etc etc but that’s no use to me if I am trapped bf-ing DD and have to listen to that irritating beeping for 15 minutes!

Sorry but I can’t help with any brands that don’t beep. I’m just saying I feel your pain!

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 16/01/2020 13:25

The dishwasher is the only thing that doesn’t beep at me! It’s a Miele.

BinkySodPlop · 16/01/2020 13:28

My Beko doesn't beep. Barely makes any noise. I love it - better than the Bosch it replaced.

fairlygoodmother · 16/01/2020 13:32

My Miele beeped and I put up with it for about 4 years (i.e. never running it overnight because the beeping woke us up) before I delved into the instructions to find that there was a way to turn it off.

itbemay1 · 16/01/2020 13:35

Ikea one beeps at end of cycle then pops open

Goldwispa · 16/01/2020 13:37

My beko doesn't beep.
