I have a black and white cat (aged 16) his brother was a ginger and white boy who died a couple of years ago - he was the most amazing fat ginger cat ever...

I have a tortie who is long haired and she’s beautiful..

I have a full black cat who I found in a box with his dead siblings a couple of years ok! He is stunning!

And I have a Bengal - who is equally beautiful with his brown, and beautiful rosettes.

I’ve always wanted a Russian grey cat 😻 something tells me MrGrumpy wouldn’t be overly happy tho

I don’t get the colour thing with black cats either. They are beautiful. In fact my next cat will almost certainly be black. 💜

Black! So sleek and handsome. I have a soft spot for black cats having grown up with one and then getting my own. Sadly lost my gorgeous boy last year.

flouncy I have only just seen your post which made me laugh! It wasn't cute when I couldn't work out what it was, I thought it was a maggot at first!!

I didn't care what colour cat I had, I literally told the rescue I would have the first available kitten. My local rescue said they found black and white cats the hardest to rehome. Mine is polydactyl to boot.

I've always had a soft spot for black cats, but am quite fond of tabby cats too 😍

2 of my 3. Old tabby who only appears when he wants a meal never stays near long enough for a picture. These 2 are brothers given to us 6 months ago by the neighbours who realised they were horribly allergic. Couldn't say no, obviously.

Muriel, my timid little rescue cat

She is gorgeous Duchess. She is the double of next door's cat who regularly gets kidnapped by me comes to visit frequently.

Any really but currently have tabby and white.

Had a tabby, loved him and he lived to a ripe old age.
When he died, we couldn't replace him with another tabby, so got a tabby and white. He unfortunately died quite young of a brain tumour.

We got a pair of kittens. One black and white, one tortie. The black and white boy unfortunately died in a freak accident and we have our naughty tortie, who is lovely.

See, the only problem with black cats is the 'arrghohshitdontsteponthecat' moments described by someone earlier. Our old black cat luuuurved me very much but that meant, as I was lowering my capacious arse onto the sofa, he'd scoot into the same space directly underneath me without me seeing him! The number of times I had to stop mid-sit as DH yelled at me that the cat was about to get squooshed. He just wanted to be near me or nick my seat to piss me off

Current black-and-white kitties are easier to see (and sadly don't love me nearly as much - they prefer DH and the DDs, the traitors. They have no concept of who buys their kibble).

All of them! So many gorgeous photos here! I can't have one at the moment but if I'm ever in a position to get a cat I'll adopt and see who chooses me

I used to regularly see a lovely boy, he was mostly white with a dark stripey patch over his back - not sure what that's called. He was lovely, would regularly be spotted sat watching the world from the pavement by my house, or on one occasion, from the branches of my neighbour's tree

We had a male tortoiseshell, the vet didn't believe us until he saw him!
What's wrong with black cats ? I'm going to make sure our next cat is a black one from a shelter.

Black and white. On my second now and always so lovely and friendly, current cat is the perfect lap cat (although pretty rubbish at any other cat skills such as catching prey).
