I have recently enjoyed The Fall (really recommend that, if anyone else hasn’t seen it), The Dublin Murders, Homecoming

Any other suggestions?

Netflix - Unbelievable - based on true story.

2 x female leads.

Rather good I thought.

jamaisjedors · 10/01/2020 20:40

I'm assuming you've seen the good wife? If not it is very inspiring!

Fingernail · 10/01/2020 20:41

@ouch321 seen it, it’s excellent

Scandal?

Fingernail · 10/01/2020 20:42

@jamaisjedors, I tried half an episode and wasn’t impressed...very ‘American’ was my impression. Should I give it another go?

How to get away with murder.
The lead character is a strong woman.
Crazy storylines but good to watch.

TooLaidBack27 · 10/01/2020 20:43

Not very serious, but I've enjoyed
DEAD TO ME. Two female leads.

jamaisjedors · 10/01/2020 20:45

Oh yes please do. Alicia Florrick is ridiculously inspiring, particularly in the later series (i need to rewatch the earlier ones again).

JoeGargery · 10/01/2020 20:45

Came on to say unbelievable but YES, GIVE the good wife another go! It’s brilliant!

jamaisjedors · 10/01/2020 20:46

She was my role model when leaving abusive husband, she's calm and deadly effective in a crisis.

cmt1375 · 10/01/2020 20:46

Madam Secretary

Sheena99 · 10/01/2020 20:47

The Expanse is quite good, an ensemble cast, but the female characters are strong, and well written.

BeverlyGoldbergsHairAndJumpers · 10/01/2020 20:47

Also The Bodyguard is good. (BBC 1 I think).

helpfulperson · 10/01/2020 20:47

The good place. Took me a coupleof episodes to get in to but essentially the afterlife and universe are under female control.

Blastandbollocks · 10/01/2020 20:47

The Good Fight. Continues on from Alicia's story.

AuntieMarys · 10/01/2020 20:47

Unbelievable is superb

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 10/01/2020 20:48

Good girls revolt (iirc) on Amazon was a good watch, only 1 season though.

Yadaaday · 10/01/2020 20:52

It’s not a series but Jayde Adams has a stand up special on Amazon and it’s so good! I loved it.

Aquamarine1029 · 10/01/2020 20:52

The Killing, definitely.

implantsandaDyson · 10/01/2020 20:53

Secret City (Netflix)

Yadaaday · 10/01/2020 20:53

Also Dead to me. Very American too but it’s addictive.

sluj · 10/01/2020 20:53

How about "No offence" on All 4? Best thing I've seen in ages
