Please link to something in amazon that my difficult 70 year old mother would like

I've given up. She moans about everything anyone buys her.

I want to spend about 20 and literally press a button and it gets wrapped and sent.

She has no interests unless you count moaning about the neighbours.

Binoculars for spying on the neighbours?

HappyHammy · 05/01/2020 14:22

notebook and diary
if she moans about getting a present is it worth spending money

Ciwirocks · 05/01/2020 14:23

My mum loves her echo dot

DrPimplePopper · 05/01/2020 14:23

An amazon voucher

Trewser · 05/01/2020 14:23

She wouldn't use an Amazon voucher, doubt she has an account for an echo dot

I am 70 and have so much stuff I dont want any more. My children often buy me delicious luxury food stuff, nice wine or special gin ( rhubarb abd ginger liquor gin) It is very rude of her to moan about gifts. She must like something

Trewser · 05/01/2020 14:25

I have to buy her something. A diary or calendar isn't a bad idea although her stock phrase is "what did you get me that for?"

Actually she does quite like beauty stuff

OP posts:
Trewser · 05/01/2020 14:25

She is teetotal (ex alcoholic)

Scarf? Purse? Necklace? Perfume? Nice pen?

Trewser · 05/01/2020 14:29

Any book you buy has a 'hidden meaning', suggesting she's fat, miserable etc.

Does she garden? There were some fab gardening gloves mentioned on a xmas thread I can find if useful?

BillieEilish · 05/01/2020 14:33

Trewser I'd get a lovely soft blanket/throw thing for the sofa/bed (only know as my DD wanted one) they are definitely on Prime and there are nice 'Sherpa' ones I think they're called.

So she can be cozy watching T.V or put it on her bed etc...

20 quid. Done. All sorts of colours. Can't do links, sorry Grin

Sonetlumiere

Really laughing. She'd be so mortally offended. Angrily so.

Would she like something like this..

bearhugsgifts.com/

You can make up your own box. I was going to order one for a friend until I found out they don't post to the country she lived in.

HarrietThePi · 05/01/2020 14:36

HarrietThePi · 05/01/2020 14:37

Oh sorry you wanted Amazon prime Blush my fault for not reading properly.

Longdistance · 05/01/2020 14:38

You can get theatre binoculars for a few quid Grin on Amazon.

AmericanHousewifeFan · 05/01/2020 14:39

I did a search for gifts for elderly women
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=gifts+for+elderly+women&sprefix=gifts+for+elserly+&ref=nbsbbssscc1_18

Is there anything in that list that would be suitable?

stripeypillowcase · 05/01/2020 14:39

is she into gardening? some seeds?

Beamur · 05/01/2020 14:40

What does she eat? Pick her favourites and make Amazon send her £20 worth. I'm sure they do groceries.
